We changed our Ioniq back in Nov 2022, so this one has long gone and we now have a 38kWh Ioniq which has all-LED headlights. So until I get in another 28kWh Ioniq, I can't do this. But I seem to remember there were some white plastic dials on headlights, so easy enough to make some fine adjustments. Headlight angle adjustment is something I've not needed to do before, but I will look into this, as I feel my Tesla Model S could do with some adjustment.
Hated the yellow Halogen High Beam Light on my Ioniq electric. Bought a pair of Novsight HB3 LEDs, and I love them, highly recommended! Of course not legal, but imho for High Beams no problem.
Just bought a 2018 Ioniq28 and actually started laughing when I turned on the main beams for the first time last night! Absolutely useless! Can you tell me where you got your Novsight bulbs, and for how much? Thanks.
@@Soarersan Right, bought them from a chinese online Plattform with stock in europe, price was about 40 Euros, 1 1/2 years back. They probably got more expensive since then.
The original bulbs I took out of mine were Sylvania branded. The adjustment of the main beam is worth looking at too - they appear to tend to be adjusted 'too high'.
I put Novsight 9005 HB3 55W 6000K LED's in my Ioniq. They appear to focus perfectly (unlike some!) Much better than the original dim halogen but I don't know how they compare with the Osram bulbs (they are more expensive)
That was really useful as I was only saying that I was a little disappointed with the lights at night. Now I know why and how to fix it. Cheers
Glad you found it useful
Can you do video on adjusting the angle of high beam and daytime running lights please?

Did you had to do any adjustment or is it as simple as buying a led light ant installing it?
@@arikcarmi Installation was very easy, took me about 10 Minutes and the light is 10x better!

Hi did you have to get adapters to fit the bulb or straight swap

Good to know
Love the colour coded coolant 😂
That's fresh new coolant. That video is coming soon. I filmed that back in December.
Can you upgrade to LED bulbs without any issue ?
Yes, but in the UK, that is now an MoT failure (if the tester notices).
The lamps in the 2020 Kona are dreadful too. Probably look at LED replacements though of the whole array than switching the bulbs

@@FFVoyager apparently switching to LED without changing the whole unit can fail your MOT
Why no mention of how difficult it is getting the cap off the headlighr assembly?
I did and told you how to make it easier in the future!
@@GoGreenAutosthanks, I ended up prying it with a knife after loosening it, it was outrageously stiff!
Everyone focuses on headlights all the time. What about low beam? They're absolutely stupid dim on some models. They're incredibly hard to replace!
Thanks very useful
Glad it was helpful
