In this Christmas and Holiday episode of the Little Things, we Journey back to a time before the seas drank Atlantis, as we look through the Electronics Boutique 1995 Holiday Catalog. In the 1990s, it wasn’t Christmas until you had a visit to the Electronics Boutique, Babbage’s, Gamestop or Software Etc. in the local mall. The internet was still in its infancy, and magazines and catalogs from the gaming and software stores was how many people decided what games they wanted for Christmas. This was a time undreamed of. A time of Real-Time Strategy and interactive Movie/puzzle Games, CD Edutainment…and the dawn of the modern digital media console system. A time of Christmases long, long ago. @@thelittlethings3309 Yeah I miss them also. Especially the game stores. I loved talking video games with the employees and the atmosphere. I even miss there being 3-4 video game magazines I could buy 😂.

Definitely! I can remember when getting those gaming mags and walking through mall stores (and talking with the employees) was a big way in which I decided which games I would ask for for Christmas.

Toy Story debuted in 1995, around the same time, and I can remember wondering when, and if, video games would look that good. Now they look far better. I think most modern games would be astonishing to someone in 1995.

If heaven is real (and i dont go to the other place), i hope god lets me relive my 90’s childhood over and over forever.
