It was rushed? That explains the lack of more characters, challenges and a descent story mode. I'm more of a Smash fan, but I hope that All-Stars 2 would help correct the issues that this game had. It had so much potential and it was rushed to the final cut...leaving out all the good stuff. Rise from the ashes PlayStation All-Stars.

Yeah, and I also hope different studio makes game. SuperBot is finished as a company anyways. They should get rid of all 3rd party characters like Big Daddy for sequel or the non important ones like Zeus, and instead focus on forgotten characters such as Gex, Croc, Klonoa, Tomba, and of course for Christ sake include Crash freaking Bandicoot - the character that made Sony what they are today

They're just testing the waters , I can assure you if this sold a few millions crash would appear like next week. It's a never ending cycle.

Gaming must be polished not rushed. Title fight name and train level from uncharted 2 all look better than what we got.
Some day I hope for a sequel. This game has so much potential that they didn't properly utilise.
I bought he game full price since it was something new interesting but now I don't play it a lot but it was one of those games I always go back to whenever I get the chance but maybe one day I will. Just makes me sad that my money doesn't say I want a sequel I'm a smash bros fan myself but I will say I enjoyed the game felt it could have been more and I can see why now with this thanks Deep and here's hoping for a sequel with better content

These are all characters that would have built up the roster. And would have created long gevity.

But on serious note, SSM , Sony I'm not exactly sure who is the one to suggest to push this out the door so quickly, but after watching this video and all the deleted content you took from the game really shows your true colors. Now don't get me wrong I'm a huge all stars fan and still play it to this day, but I can see you guys were really passionate of this game and must break some hearts to see a game you worked on for 3 years almost gutted out and removed to somewhat bare bones. I also need to point this out for not just playstation all stars, but any brawler in general "Guys, we are not get another melee" it just not gotta happen. Nintendo got lucky with its engine and gameplay that when it got release 13 months later. Games need more time than ever, if a game isn't ready don't freaking release it! Again, SSM had another God of War coming really soon after the game came out, so they weren't in trouble (or at least I hope). Thats all I got to say all I'm saying is if took the time, the money, the effort, the relationship of other companies to make a game you know could be better then do it. Don't let all that go to waste on a game that people are willing to pay hard earned money to pay for.

Wow, I did not know that the game was going to be bigger than it is now, I knew that the game had potential but it was ruined by rushed development, it could even have been a worthy competitor of Smash, not so much, but you know what i mean. Hopefully and make a sequel with everything that was cut from the game and everything that was planned, because the game would have had potential if it had given more years of development.

I think your right :O Some people have said that Zeus's level 3 is like a Boss level 3 too, I can believe this, since there was a transitioning God of War Stage with Hades following you as the screen moved to the right, it could be true that Zeus would have been waiting for you as a Boss

BlueDeepDive Omar Kendall one of the developers revealed that before Polygon man, you were to fight classic PlayStation enemies in the final fight in arcade mode, Dr. Nefarious was one of the choices given the layout of his appearance in the game in the San Francisco stage he would've used the hypersonic brain wave scrambler (the thing that shoots the bubbles) The Helghan Army was another name thrown out they're to be included. But he did confirm that Zeus's level 3 was a beta boss fight that got scrapped, but when they were going back to do dlc they figure they'd done so much work on the layout of the Zeus character for the final boss that they'd just make him playable and that boss fight was indeed incorporated into his level 3 and also explains why he is so powerful and generates AP quicker then other characters.
All Sony has to do is make a sequel to this game for ps4. I dont care if it takes another 2 years, if it is as good as these clips it doesnt matter. They would make soooo much money off of the end product. It could be Sony's big response to all of Microsoft's decent exclusives.

OMG yes!!! The train scene from uncharted would've made a kick ass stage!!! The plane one didn't cut it for me...
Man! I can't not believe they scrap all that awesome things in the game.
Damn all that work just for nothing (Additional Characters, Interactive stage objects,STORY MODE Additional Stages.).
I'm a parappa fan but a teleport move I think it's enough that they added parappa moves that no one knew he can do but teleport that is almost worst than sweet tooth infinite mines

overall still a good game the feels addictive :3
not too mention Cole made the roster two times. why couldn't Evil Cole just be a alternate skin? with a unique opening and ending.

Shadow the hedgehog was also a cancelled dlc fighter , there is a 3d model online alongside with dart field model ....it would have been freaking epic to see shadow the hedgehog on this game

Despite loving the ever loving hell out of both warhawk 2007 and 1999 I think the removal of the Eucadian soldier was just. He would simply play far to similarly to Colonel Radec or nathan drake if they kept his in game arsenal of Flamethrower, RPG, Pistol, Knife, Green beam of death, mine, grenade, and assault rifle. There's just too much gun overlap here in my opinion.
I think in the next PlayStation All-Stars Kuro would be Toro's Echo All-Star!

If there's a sequel, I would love CJ from GTA San Andreas to be playable! I think the reason why they rushed this game is because of PS Vita size limitations.
I am so very sick and tired of people complaining about two coles. You do realize that if there wasn't two Coles it would still be 19 characters. They would not add one just for the fact that another Cole isn't there. The Cole's both play almost completely different and it would not fit if it was just a costume swap between good and evil. I'm sure if there was 2 Dante's (one classic Dante one new Dante) no one would complain. But since everyone hates Cole for no reason they all complain about 2 Coles. Grow up. Stop complaining about the same thing everyone else already complained about.

I like PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale but I can agree that they could have done so much better on the game considering how rushed it is, they could have kept all the good stuff that was going to be in the game as well as making some improvements to it.
So much content...
Why didn't they add all this? It's amazing! And would of loved a calypso character. So much they missed out on for game like this. If a second one comes out, you know where I'll be.

This video was awesome, thanks for all this evidence and all these facts about the game. It would be awesome if the game had all this content. 3 years on content went down the drain, what is now is still fun, but that would have been so much better. One reason why I think think they cut all the content was, because of the Vita version. If they ever make a sequel for the PS4, it better be this good or even better.

Gran Turismo is the highest selling Playstation game franchise but dosen't have a mascot. I feel like the driver guy on GT: Sport cover would be the best mascot for the franchise.

So much unused potential! We need All Stars 2, and hopefully it will hit the ground running with more stages, characters, and unlockables. I will totally support that. Character DLC is okay too, but the game needs to stand on its own without it. Make it for the PS4 and Vita!

lol man i dont mean to be a bummer on the community but the president of sony entertaiment said 'psasbr sold 1 million worldwide which is good but not enough for a sequel' but then he proceeded to say 'but never give up hope we might visit the playstation all stars idea again' all we can do as a community is pray wen it gets released as a ps plus free or ported to ps4 it has a better reception and sales then sony will think about a sequel
It's interesting to see how they took out both Jin and Kazuya and put in the Father of them all, Heihach. I have a suspicion both Jin and Kazuya had similar moves, but also unique ones that would make up Heihachi's movelist in the end

I don't know most of the characters you mentioned or the game their from but the main point of battle royal is to only have PlayStation game characters. Once again I don't know the games these characters you mentioned are from so that could be a reason the characters got stripped from the list

I really wished Sony kept the DLC plans to Superbot(which is the reason behind Abe's cancellation). There were two things I wanted in this game that the new Smash Bros swept off Superbots' shoes, which is the inclusion of Pac-Man(one of my highest requested characters next to Sackboy, but I Heihachi is my favorite Tekken character) and a character creation to fill on the huge amount of requests (they could have made that happened due to Sony's play-create-share line of games). If character creation was included, almost everyone will make and play as Crash Bandicoot avatars, while I'll be making an avatar of Tak from the Tak series (another requested character of mine).
You don't see brawl fans saying "Wario is the only one who gets two costumes, it's not fair!" So stop complaining about two Coles. Get out

Now they have a chance to redeem themselves because the ps4 has not only just came out but it is a extremely more powerful machine so it can handle even more than what was going to be in the first game and what was scrapped all in one. Also, there are new playstation exclusive games coming out to add to. More levels could be added. More game modes. An not to mention more characters.

Also add the legends crash bandicoot, spryo the dragon and tomb raided. They may not be owned by sony any more but they deserve to be in the game because they built playstation. Also, thats another reason the game didnt sell as well was because of the fact people were hoping to see in the game and once they were a no show, their Intrest in the game went to.
Title Fight actually looks better than the final product. I hope they bring that train stage back if they make a second one.

You completely neglected the other characters on that select screen.
It's sad to see how PSASBR had so much potential to be a better game yet Sony rushed SuperBot to make the game available ASAP. Take games like the Last of Us and GTA V, although both games had different delay dates (TLoU= 1 month delay from original release, GTA V= 7 month delay from original release date), those game were masterpieces. I would've mind if PSASBR was delayed from their original release day, the game could have been a masterpiece, but instead, I could basically say we got basically got the late "beta" version of PSASBR.
But however Sony wanted to come out in 2012 a game like all stars would have to take more than 3 years because every character is not owned by Sony themselves.
I would have rather wait, who knows how many more characters could have been added and how balanced the game could have been.
God, I would have loved to play as Dart and Kuro.
