I managed to shoot this in the UK a couple of times this week but the RASA has yet more issues I need to deal with & the refractor I used is just to slow to use for short integration times. Astro darkness has gone in the UK to but I don't think the skies here are as bright but still pretty poor. Cheers & clear skies
Hi! I lift my hat for you UK folks. From what I hear you have quite some time overcast. Well done to keep the going up! From the end of August, we start getting some nice evenings here again. The winter is amazing, if it’s clear. At least it’s nice and warm now if one like to stretch out and look at meteor showers etc. Think positive ;)
Why place the telescope directly under a huge flood lamp? Can the lamp not be turned off? I can't imagine a worse place for viewing. Never mind general city light pollution, with that lamp, you're done for. Maybe put the scope on the opposite side of your house? Or just turn off the light?
Hi Robbie, Oh, no that flood light is only on when I derig with camera on. Normally I just use a head lamp. It’s my property, so there are no lights around when imagining ;) That would be horrible conditions indeed! Thanks for watching out!
