‘ If You Don’t Believe “ has always been one of my favorites! I still play it all the time these days !❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ the trombone solo! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I absolutely love Deneice Williams' music ❤ My favorite songs are Stranger, You're all that matters, My Melody, Cause you love me baby, Black Butterfly, and Let's hear it for the boys!!! Shout out to the magnificent Deniece Williams.
Neicy, so legendary , and still so beautiful ! Always said she was “ the sweetest voice in music”, no one sounds as sweet as Neicy! She released a new EP in 2021 with a song called “ One Kiss”, one of my favorite new songs !❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💐💐💐💐💐💐🎤🎤🎤
Denise experienced a professionalism and talent with Maurice and EWF. All are exceptional musicians in their own right. My Uncle Don Myrick played sax with them. He was always a beast practicing on Jackson, all horns setup in the front room, incense burning, African art everywhere. He would play for hours. With EWF, the Phenix Horns were top of their Game.....1975-1982.
This is Niecy and My Melody were my favorite Deniece Williams albums. The writing, musicianship, vocals, production, TOP NOTCH! I have ALL her albums but those two will always strike a chord with me. I see why she said she felt the ‘magic’ in the studio. I felt it as a ‘listener.’😌🎶❤️👍🏾
Wonderful to hear Deniece. I was a child in the 70s but Free resonated with me and my family and I can still recall seeing her on TOTP in 1976/77 with the BBC band. In the 90s when I was getting into piano Free was one of the first songs I learned on my Fender Rhodes as it had all the complexity due to the jazzy voicings and I bought all her 70s LPs on vinyl. in some ways it was a gateway into a lot of soul and jazz I got into later.... Deniece seems so down to earth!
@@beautyRest1 No, it has something to do with color. This music came from black people. I know why ( crazy crimes have been perpetrated against Black people) U might want to deny that fact, but it does. This kinda statement is the same as saying, “ I don’t see color.” That’s a weird, privileged, unconnected statement that might deny those crimes. Or maybe U are just from Florida. What do you think makes up the content of Nina Simone moans? Or howling wolf’s howl? It’s blackness with a capital B.🥸 Denise and Stevie and Maurice are black. It’s not an accident that those black folks made this great music. And if U are any other color and love this music, god blessed U with the good taste to love great black music. I mean no offense, but don’t get it twisted. This is great black music. 🙏🏾🔥

Wow! Just wow! I had to go back and listen to the song “and if you don’t believe “and listen to the beginning of Charles Stephanie🤪 strumming the piano with the guitar pick and now I hear it now, incredible!
@@alldayvinyl I know right! And I also found it interesting that she originally wrote her songs for E,W&F to record and specifically for Phillip Bailey to sing.
Nate Watts is my man!! Met him in 1993 at Winsonic Studio in Beverly Hills. Took pics of he and Gerald Levert (RIP), for his Niece!! Didn't realize the magnitude of this brother, until much later on! 💯🎶✊
"If you don't believe" is amazingly beautiful. The complete cd is perfection. I have the 1st.cd pressing, but I wish that I held onto my original vinyl album.
Deniece Is an extremely unique fixture in the music business and has contributed an incredible quality of Excellence to us. By the way....Free would have also been perfect for EWF! Great song Niecy!
the year 1976 was a spectacular year with e w -f, because maurice white was producing , denice williams, the emotions, of course, and a soul group called, pockets, all 3 artist blew up big time.
Years ago I was fortunate to find a sealed original LP of this great album. Maybe about 6-7 years ago, I made a transfer of it for my girlfriend, to CD. I remember telling her when I gave her the disc that it's like Earth, Wind, and Fire, but with female vocals (which they also had early on, but that was besides the point for her purposes). She actually knew a couple of Deniece's songs, but didn't recognize her name at first when I gave her the disc, but I knew she would like it.
Respectfully, what is "tinking"? Never heard that term in my lifetime as a musician. Tinking is a term used for knitting. It's not associated with creating music.
This is older black people talk 😂😂 Tinking is like trying stuff out, experimenting, rehearsing etc. it doesn't just apply to music but any creative endeavors. 👍🏾

We as black people forget about our artists smh 🤦 she’s so underrated she still should be prevalent right today
Who has forgotten? Speak for Urself. Some of us live for/through this artistry🔥

RIP Oscar Brashear. A great trumpeter who featured on a number of Earth, Wind & Fire albums.
A genius ❤️
NiecEEEEE 🌹💚💙🌹
Kalimba Productions blew up in 1976 with:

I agree perfection, that album is still pretty well priced on vinyl, i think I paid less than 10 for a clean first press vinyl last year
Wow, working with Charles Stepney and Tom Bell...legends! And of course Earth, Wind Fire!
She got to work with all the greats, such an extraordinary life she has led ❤️
