    Full replay of the final of the boxing men's light (60kg) event between Vasyl Lomachenko (UKR) and Soonchul Han (KOR) in the ExCeL - South Arena 2 at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
    Boxing made its Olympic debut at the 1904 Games in St Louis, since then boxing has been staged at each edition of the Games, except in 1912 in Stockholm, owing to Swedish law, which forbade the practice.
    The rules have evolved since the 1980s: 1984 in Los Angeles: protective helmet obligatory; 1992 in Barcelona: set-up of an electronic scoring system to strengthen the objectivity of refereeing; 2007: standardised point scoring. Women's boxing will make its debut at the 2012 London Games in London.

    Notices how Vasyl constantly stepped around Han's lead foot in the first round to test his reactions. When he saw nothing in return, the left hand and high right hook began to come. Then he stepped closer to Han in straight line to see the reactions WHILE moving his head like crazy to avoid eating counters. When he saw Han had nothing but the jab to hold him back, he slipped/push it down with his right hand and nailed the guy with the double left. Boxing IQ at the highest order!

      He steps around the foot to create his angles that's why he's so phenomenal with footwork and angles, but not only him watching for reactions, he has advantage, the foot outside of his oppenents is called a t angle.

      Michael Overbaugh Dont think it will ever happen cause amateur MMA isn’t a big thing at all. If you look at the majority of UFC fighters most of them have transitioned to MMA from different sports like kickboxing, wrestling, jiu jitsu etc... Very few even have had an ameteur MMA fight so it would take a tonne of development to get amateur MMA to a competitive level.

    • @handsomesquidward8686
      @handsomesquidward8686 5 років тому +1

      Travis Bourg First of all no UFC fighter bar Conor or Khabib for that one fight is making over 3 million per fight. Didn’t you see recently Jorge Masvidal a top welterweight contender only made 250,000 against Darren Till for knocking him spark out. The pay in the UFC is notoriously bad and the only one making real money is Conor cause he attracts a crowd. And second of all I was talking about amateur MMA not professional MMA. I dont think you could name one UFC fighter who did strickly amateur MMA before going pro

    I been studying just round 1 for almost 2 hours seeing what lomachenko is doing with his hands, foot rhythm, head positions and angles this guys is so hard to time. I also been seeing what the South Korean is doing why he is losing.
