After all these years still my favorite interpretation of this violin concerto. This weird mixture of personal emotive playing, authentic instruments, not completely without vibrato, but a subtle tasteful use and fast tempi. Not academic nor is it traditional. I like the sound as well, even if it is clearly poorly recorded with the violin too upfront and the orchestra a bit undefined.

No sorry...what I sometimes do is making a UA-cam 'film' using Windows Live Moviemaker....very seldom I mention the artist unless it is all Rembrandt or Caravaggio
Manze can do no wrong! This is a superb performance and the clarity of the recording is outstanding.
