We have the soap dispenser in our home kitchen, thanks for the reminder we can do it in our RV as well (doohh!). Lucky for you someone was out collecting RV couches on marketplace lol. Great timing on your part. The three-filter system is on our "to-do" list and we will probably do that over the winter months. We are getting ready to hit the road for 18 days next week. Philly to LA to Houston and back... Wish us luck.

I've had my ClearSource 3-stage for about a year-and-a-half now. Love it! I've just put in my third set of filters, as I'm full-time I change them every 6 months. Big savings not having to purchase bottled water all the time. That was a great mod to add the desk. I have a Grand Design Imagine 2670mk. I purchased it mainly because of the rear desk with a huge rear window. It's great to see the views when working on the computer. Another great episode. Thanks, guys.

If you ever have guests that sleep over, just get a air mattress. You have enough room between the new desk and island! I bet it will sleep better than the pullout too. Great job on the upgrades!! And yes, Dexter would love a cat tree! 😸 if the bookshelf doesn’t work out! 😉Happy Camping and safe travels! ❤️ Also after last week’s video, I had a spammer trying to get me to text a number saying I was the winner of new camping “gears” from y’all! I have to say that the desk is a great mod! I wonder why a desk is not an option in RV's today. With a lot of people working from home or working from RV, the dinette gets old really quickly. And what a great location for your new workspace! You might have to pull the blinds down to actually get some work done. Great job Hanks! Stay safe my friends.

I've been using a Clearsource filter system for a couple of years, and it's been great. They have really fast shipping when you forget to drain the water out of it before storing it and need to replace a filter housing, too (ask me how I know 🙂). Any reason you went with the standard model instead of the one that's meant to be permanently mounted?

Filtration system looks nice, and sure it works great, but I put in 6 lithium batteries in the pass- through (have 310GK). Hope you enjoy. The workspace is good idea, but retired OR Educator RN…so no need at this time. One of your vids a bit ago you said you were going to CA, guess that is for a travel RN job(s). Prices there will be really high for everything - spent 60 years in San Diego area, sold home, and now full-time RVing. Safe and happy travels.

    Dude and Dudette! VERY COOL!
    We have the same Living/Kitchen concept as what you've got in our North Point 377RLBH with the rear, useless couch, The real only big difference between ours and your plan is our middle bunk that I figured Steph and I would just share the space/desk in, right? OH NO....;
The crap she's got in there....
We've got some mods in this as well like NO DINETTE! That was something we never cared about while shopping. It's a 66ft long buffet/storage/table/what ever we use it for but unfortunately a "catch all"!
    Then the bunk room.....
The couch/sleeper is history! It's now holding Steph's stuff and the printers/work station. PERFECT!
SO...... not much for me.... Time to do what you did here in the rear couch area! Great idea and now it's gonna be MY idea, stolen from you two!!!
Got a "SQUIRREL!" question for you... You know.... SUDDEN CHANGE OF SUBJECT....
Winter months. Saw what you did last season and before but haven't heard if you guys ever thought of doing the "QUARTSZITE" thing????.... We're heading out of Colorado tomorrow after some really cold white stuff came from the sky yesterday and scared me! This Californian never saw that before!!! It was WEIRD!!!! So off to Laughlin for a while, Cali after the Santa Ana season is over then Quartszite after for a month or so.
Hope you three are well. See ya down the road one day! Be Safe!

My first movable RV. Was an Airstream trailer. And for a while I lived in a Toyota dolphin. The previous owner. One of the previous owners. Had put a hot water dispensing faucet by the sink. The five years I had that RV I was constantly in the process of trying to get that thing to work again. I should have just went to the Appliance Repair place and got a replacement. My Dolphin burned down on the way home from Ozzz Fest.

Nice job guys! Love our clear source and water softner! We love the soap dispenser also, did that a while back as well! At home we actually got the large bulk size dawn dish soap and purchased clear tubing from Home Depot and got rid fo the little bottle. But little bottle is just fine for the camper. We though about doing the desk where the couch is also (we have the 3350RL, so very similar layout) but opted to keep couch for seating and bed. but looks awesome thanks for sharing! I love he desk and chairs!! Also saw he bench seat, do you have a link for that? I have been wanting to swap that for a while. Especially one with storage. Thanks Hanks!!

Hello Hanks! I came across your channel several weeks ago and have enjoyed you immensely. My husband and I just started our full time RV living the end of December. We purchased a used 5th wheel with 2 bathrooms and would like to convert one bathroom into a closet. We were wondering if there would be any issues with letting the black tank for that toilet totally dry out? Any help or advice from anyone would be greatly appreciated.

We are starting full time next year (two 30 something year olds with no kids and a dog let’s hang! Lol) and we had to stop ourselves from being concerned about *other people* when those times will be 1/30th of the time while we will be living there every day. We told our families and friends that they can come meet us and hang out but we can’t house anyone because we took out the bunk room and made it our office and our overhead hunk is our storage area 🤷🏼‍♀️ I feel like it’s the same as living in my first one bedroom apartment. My parents came to visit me but, never expected to stay the night because it was small and “my space”. We are deff treating our 5th wheel the same way 🥰

Those new chairs for your desk do look very nice and like that you showed a water filtering system going in and why since I asked about that quite some time ago as to why you drank bottled water in the RV and not from your sink. Way back when I was 14 I lived in California and My Aunt from N.J. came out for My older sisters highschool graduation and then I was going to go back with her to N.J. but stopped in Missouri for a few days at my Uncle's house and was supposed to pick up my cousin. So just after a few days lay over in Missouri we went to N.J. and like the next Day I had a very bad stomach ache actually painful and went to the Dr . and was told I had Gastritis and it most likely was from the three different states water in such a short time. So goes to figure why with all the traveling and different water sources that a good water filter system would be necessary. Nene rocked the demonstration and explained the valves perfectly and Karl did great job with the install. Love the new soap dispenser too. Thanks you guys for another great video and now I think you need to get Dexter a window Hammock put it on that big back window so he can be close to you while you work and supervise too 😊🐈🐾

NeNe says "where are people going to sleep if they stay the night?" I says "look at all that space in the storage compartment." The new desk/seating area looks really nice; we had one of the soap dispensers on our countertop before and it worked great for about 2 months and then developed soap booger clogs that then has to be cleaned before it would dispense soap again for a few more months and then repeat cleaning process again; in the end it was a great idea but didn't quite work out as great as we imagined. The water filter install was epic and looked totally doable without any instructions at all; I was surprised at the octopus of pipes and ducting that is hidden behind the access panel in the storage area, looks a lot more haphazard that I would have expected. As always, your videos are great.

  • @anthonyg6924

Are you doing all your dishes with the filtered water? A different option might have been to run the bypass up to the cavity under the sink, just food for thought to save your filters some. Or another spout just for the filtered water, you already know how to drill the hole.

We have a Grand Design Reflection with the same lay out. We will do the same thing after I get the wife's approval. We also have the same water filter works great.

Well done - love the mods! TBH, I was kinda hoping for a kitty kondo and some version of a cat trapeze.

We are doing the same couch-out/desk-in renovation. We love the look of the chair you chose, but has it passed the sit-in-it-for-hours test? Does it support your back at all?

What are you using to protect the quick disconnect sticking out the bottom of your trailer? Road garbage will be hitting that as you drive down the road.

Nice job, but the books the shelf next to the desk will end up all over the floor during the first move.
