I picked up one of these about a month or two ago. I once held an Omas 360 in my hands and liked it (DC Pen Supershow) about 30 years ago and (mistakenly) thought it was pricey -- but now they're hard to find and rather pricey -- so I decdied to give this a try. I found it a decent writer for the price (good) but I also found the piston is on the stiff side, apparently not removable and slightly off (piston turning knob not perfectly aligned with pen ridge), and worse, the nib seems to suffer from ink starvation if I pocket carry the pen -- which is odd since it has a clip so it's designed for up nib carry. Finally, as you note, there's the absence of an ink window; for the price, I can maybe live with no ink window unlike, say, soe Visconti Homo Sapiens models. At the end of the day, I think I mostly regret the expenditure. It wasn't much in absolute $s but pricey for a sub-optimal experiment.

I think the reason Majohn had to change from Moon Man was to do with Kaweco. I've had no problems with the way you need to hold the pen to use it.
Similar to the Pelikan Twist. They are now selling a demonstrator version of the V60.

Another thought; the absence of an ink viewing window seems to count as a negative to a lot of people. I don’t mind it at all. Sometimes, the ink window actually detracts from the design aesthetic. Leaving the window out often makes better aesthetic sense. I have a bunch of piston filling pens sans ink window. And I’m perfectly happy with that. To be sure, I also appreciate the presence of an ink window on many of my other piston filler pens.

I don't need a window. When the pen runs dry, I put in more ink.

I have purchased a number of Majohn/Moon Man nib units on AliExpress because it is the least expensive way I have found to purchase #6/35mm 1.1 stub nibs, less than US$8 each for 3 just a month or so ago. I do not having issues with any of the ones I have bought over the last couple of years, and I am obsessive about nibs being smooth and decently wet without quite being gushers. FWIW.

Reuleaux triangle, or orbiform (per Euler).

I think the longer we collect pens the more difficult it is to find something pleasing. Whilst the V60 shape is unusual, it is not unique and we all know it was based on the Omas design. A few years back I would have ordered the MaJohn without hesitation. Today I'm not so sure I want one. The pen reminds me of a nice looking, but bland tasting meal. The colour is pretty and I'm sure OdE would enjoy another yellow pen. I even like the wetness of the nib, if this is typical of the V60. However, the lukewarm review is a slight cause for concern and is probably enough to persuade me it is something I don't really need.

Luckily, I own the real piston-filling OMAS 360 (Iceberg/White). The sight of these Chinese rip-off versions make me nauseous.
Besides, they are poorly made, too. The nib is predictably pedestrian. These pens are arguably not even worth getting free. I wish more people would resist these cheap temptations.

Dissenting opinion: since Omas no longer makes it, cheers to Majohn for picking up the ball and running with it. Cheers again for making it affordable, available to those with limited budgets. And cheers to you, my friend for having the real thing, and appreciating it.
