Quick tip: there is also a hole and a cable grip on the shock mount which can be used to avoid the cable shakes from reaching the mic
Hello! Do you know if by chance an adapter for the microphone arm is included in the package? Or do you have to buy it separately?
I bought the shock mount off facebook marketplace and it didn't come with the base nut. How do I get a replacement?
Hi sire,
Nice video and I love the background music, can you tell me what it is please ?
Best from France.
Great video, Joe!
Thanks Kieran.
I got a unit without the base mount :( what do i do? I can’t get the base nut off on my stock shock mount (i own the rode nt1a)
The one on SM6 is NOT detachable. If your SMR doesn't have the base nut, contact the place you bought the shock mount
Hi Joe, can you take a look at Blender 2.92?
"Blender’s video editing capacity has been enriched, paving the way for VSE as a legitimate open source alternative for professional editors. "
Oh god no. I have been trying to wrap my head around blender for over a decade. Its just one of those programs that I just cant figure out. I would if I could. But I cant. :-)

I wish I could find a low mass shock mount for my NT1A the SM6 it comes with is a pain in the backside it is SO bulky, anyone have suggestions?
If you really care about being compact I suggest using Rode RM2 firm mount. It's not a shock mount but it's good quality.
@@FluwareHi, I don’t think the Rm2 will do the job for the NT1A.
@@dovane9932 why not?
@@Fluware because it seems to be larger I am talking about the grey one. Do you think this will fit on the NT1 A either ?
@@dovane9932 according to RM-2 datasheets (meaning Ring-mount 2 and not 1or3) on rode website, it is durable and compatible with NT1-A. I'm guessing compatible with NT1 5th gen too, since similar built. The only thing is that you need to have a stable unshaky floor (since it's not a shock mount!)
Nice one Joe 👍
