The song that made me a fan after being aware of rhem for years, but never taking the full plunge.
A massive blender of tons of my favorite Prog bands plus their own twist.
I love the lyrics to Crystalized. They were initially obtuse to me. Then it hit me when I finally read the lyrics "Son by my side, I am complete." It's a reliving of innocence of your childhood through your own children. Heart melting.
I remember Rich's dad being present in Hamburg (Nov, 19th, 2019) when Haken was performing with Devin Townsend. Amazing concert with two exceptional bands! One of the best concerts of my life (so far)!
Fauna is a top 3 Haken album. Sempiternal beings is the best track imo. The ambience and playfulness of the drums in the "stoned by her gaze" section, along with Ross' delivery, is phenomenal. I could live in that section forever.
The chorus is cool and it has a killer solo.
Also, eyes of ebony is beautiful.
Sempiternal Beings is my favorite song, lol. I genuinely feel like Fauna is their best album yet.

Restoration 2 when? Now that Pete is back in the band, I need to hear a fresh Souls.
I used to listen Celestial Elixir so much when it came out, still a favorite to this day
Great interview!! 🤩 I’ve noticed you guys haven’t picked up on The Enigma Division, a prog band from Ireland, with members from Xerath and been trying to reach out to ya 😅 Also, the guitar player is one of my best friends, Conor McGouran. They have a track called ‘Echoes in the Deep’ that features Derek Sherinian on keys 🤯
The Architect should be included there aswell!

Thanks for the great interview!!! I got their limited edition autographed double vinyl / CD / T-shirt package via courier today, all way from UK to HK! Couldn't be happier!!! Alphabet of Me totally blew me away with the new "style", easier to swallow for new comers, and Pete's distinct-and-eerie keyboard brings a new melancholy tone to these songs, as opposed to Mr. Diego's more upbeat style. Mr. Perfect-Beat is perfect is usual. Can't say enough how much I love this band! Hopefully they will have an Asian Tour soon.

Gotta be "Visions" for me. Was also at the Prog Cruise and on Sat. was walking around the pool area and they were playing " Cockroach King." Stopped me in my tracks. Have loved them ever since.

Heyhey! Just saw Haken in Helsinki Finland last Sunday (April 2nd). GREAT show! (still) Did not get the new album but nevertheless such an great performance! Flawless, I could say! :)

Doing his own thing. I was listening to an interview he did like. 8 months ago and he was like “sometimes if I’m playing in 7 I want to stay in 7 for a while” 😂

Btw. Diego plays keyboards on Devin Townsend's latest album Lightwork, so at least he's not out of work. Would have loved to see him live with Devin again actually.
