I like to think Macaque was so worried about Wukong getting the new crown because he remembered how Wukong killed him(seemingly by force due to the flashback tease from season 5) when he wore it back in the JTTW days lmao

Hey did you notice the three get out of jail free leafs when Wukong, MK and Macaque were escaping jail? They were given to him by who I think is Quan yin if I spelled her name correctly when Wukong was first given his circlet for the journey to the west? Im surprised he still has them hundreds if not thousands of years later. I don't know what happened of them since I'm following the osp summarized version and don't know where to read the actual jttw book. Also did Wukong know he might end up in jail eventually aka knowing he might of been collared again so he just had them ready or does he just have them on him all the time just in case something simlar happened or something happens that requires him to need to leaves. Also I may have overanalyzed Macaques reaction to Wukong basically saying he trusts him but hear me out. So basically I thought two things one being the most likely and the other being a theory. So my first one is that Macaque is basically thinking, after all he's done he says he trusts him? which is a reasonable thought since Mac was a menace the first 3 seasons. Anyways my second one is basically says that I think Macaque might be hiding something. Especially after his reaction of shock to Wukong saying he trusts him and after hearing that Macaque may have made a deal with someone to gain his abilities which is a reasonable suspicion since the og Macaque never had his shadow abilities. For all we know the person may be another future threat and cause Macaque to turn on everyone to repay the favor of getting his powers. Plus Mac's own abilities harming him when he helped free Wukong rubs me the wrong way because we've seen how good at his powers he is and for his abilities to start hurting him makes no sense unless it may be a consequence or something from getting the power. Anyways back to the point. Macaque may be hiding the fact that this person who gave him his powers may be coming in a future season to collect his debt. Wukong may know about it since he isn't surprised by Mac's abilities but I could be looking into this too deep.
