Macaque being a traumatized and precious character for 15 minutes is not what i needed but what i deserved. Gonna miss seeing more of him going the next seasons x.x
It's actually pretty cool that when Macaque was 'tormenting' mk with the shadows of his friends. He was actually teaching him with combating multiple enemies. And not his clones either, individual enemies. Which is different! It's a cool lesson, even if his way of teaching was...questionable.
mac and mk have a fun relationship dynamic. like mac cares enough to actually teach him lessons mk does use, and cares enough to warn him of things. of course it's a little messed up for obvious reasons but i can see them getting along better in future seasons. 10:24 also well over a year later and i still cant get over how he put his grubby little paws on tangs glasses like that! on the lens!

Welp you know what that means! *slams MK to a wall* .. you’re just some kid with a heavy stick.” LITERALLY THE REASON I WATCHED THIS MASTERPIECE OF A SHOW. So near the beginning, around 2:00, while MK is hitting Macaque the same way Wukong was shown that he "killed" Macaque, there are outlines of Macaque with his "X.●" face AND THEN the outline of Wukong on his way hitting Macaque is shown. So this gives off the impression that Macaque lost his eye first and then Wukong "killed him". I'm saying "killed" him because there is a theory that someone else killed Macaque to maybe frame Wukong, like Peng for example, because a staff wouldn't give an eye an "X" shape, but Peng's spear would.
i remember it took me a bit to get used to his voice because i could only picture osomatsu haha. before i watched the show, i thought his voice would be much deeper and sinister sounding. but billy really did an amazing performance with him. its so so unfortunate what happened…and ugh i know they *have* to recast his roles but…it feels disrespectful somehow 😭 sad. rest in peace billy, and know that you’ve entertained so many with your talents.
I’m sure you’ve heard this by now since it’s been a year since your comment, but Alejandro was actually friends with him, and I watched one of his VODs where he reacted to his own voice reel for the year and there was another role or two that he replaced Billy for. He talked about how while he was recording his lines, he had Billy’s old voice lines playing in his headphones over and over again so that he could voice match as well as possible. He wanted to give respect to the voice Billy had given that character to the best of his ability. It actually gave me so much respect for him that I started to get into his Genshin character Cyno and then subsequently started playing the game
@@its_malarkey i did hear something about this, but i didn’t know they were friends! i remember also hearing that while listening to billy’s practice lines and notes for the character, alejandro started getting very emotional and i think it was implied that he cried. i don’t blame him, it’s such a sad fucking situation…but alejandro has done a fantastic job so far, and i even got his autograph :)

He’s done such a good job with the character (I especially love the more somber, mellow vibe it feels like Macaque has in season 4) and I can’t wait to see him in season 5

Macaque is my favorite character. Even though he's a prick sometimes, he does genuinely help Mk in seasons 2-4. In a backwards kinda way.
