***CORRRECTION*** 2:39 The GV was actually already released in '07 along with the regular sapphire, it was only the Z-Blue released in 2014 Was the Milgauss the first or the last fun Rolex? Should they have discontinued the Rolex Milgauss? Should they bring it back? Let me know what you think in the comments section.
For me this is the only Rolex I would ever consider it's so beautiful and dynamic. I think they made a limited number of these crystals because they are difficult to make patenting it would teach other people how to make it .. Also there's a lot of green glass of this type in their headquarters and of course green is the box color is negative for all other stuff I'm not sure. The 1911 looks cool. Yeah their line is generally stodgy and not ready for youths. Also nice shirt
What about the Air King, LHD GMT (Sprite), Celebration dial OP, Emoji Day Date and the Polar dial Explorer 2 with orange GMT hand, surely they are all good fun?
Air King is another great example of Rolex having some fun - though admittedly the Bloodhound inspired version came around after the 116400 was released, but its also one of my favorite Rolexes. I was really surprised that they kept it around and even updated it, but Rolex works in mysterious ways sometimes 🤷🏻♂
I have a 2007 Milgauss clear glass with orange squares in place of the numbers. I hope Rolex will use the New Air King case and bring the next generation 15-Milgauss to life. The watch really is 15-Milgauss or 1.5 Tesla.
@@ShahLusso my reasons have merit. I am a stormchaser , so the lightning bolt obviously fits the bill , but when we are in the field , we forecast using various computer models that show the time in UTC (GMT) , so more than often we use that time scale
i agree, it's just quirky enough to be appreciated and the relatively low sales volume compared to the subs & GMTs will make it rarer by comparison. Thanks for watching :)

FYI the green crystal black dial milgauss was introduced in 2007. You’re getting confused by the blue dial green crystal that was introduced in 2014
Thanks for spotting that! 🙏🏻 Correction added in the pinned comment :)

Watch again around 4:51 where I talk about the Milgauss more being the beginning of an era instead of the start of one 😉
What about the airking? The only watch with the Rolex corporate colours 😉

I would love to see them take it one step further . I would love to see a new Milgauss with a GMT function ! Wishful thinking probably .
Oooh now that would be interesting, and definitely unexpected 😃

I love the Z-Blue. The Harry Potter watch.

I owned a 6541 Milgauss for 35 years , sold it for a lot of money and bought the GV ! Fun watch !
Love those vintage Milgauss models too, really from start to finish this has been one of the most fun model lines to come from Rolex
And the white dial one?
Also a fun piece, though IMO the green glass and the orange hand pop more on the black
I think this one will become a collectors item

Doesn't have a date window...go with the 15,000 gauss bumble bee.
