Hello, 1. The English proficiency test is compulsory for some schools. Certain schools don't require it because they know that Nigeria is an English speaking country. It ultimately depends on where you apply to, but I would advise to search for schools that waive the English test requirement for Nigerians, especially if you are looking to cut cost due to how expensive it is to write some of those tests. 2. You can start applying for January intakes now (this May) if they are open. Different schools have different deadlines and it just depends on the one you're comfortable with.
