Harrahs Cherokee is gambling gem in the casino world. The weather in the Smokey Mountains is always better than in Vegas. Also has excellent trout fishing. Great to see video with Ethan there.
@@anthonyfoutch3152 80% of casinos FORCE Blackjack dealers and all the other dealers on the main floor to pool all their tips together and divide them evenly... I live fairly close to Harrah's Cherokee and go there for the WSOP tournaments, as well as some other tournaments and cash occasionally. Hope to see you there in February at the WSOP!
3:42 Feels a little too thin to me to raise here, how often are you bluffing, how often is he valuebetting worse, can he call you with worse?? 8:47 with this much behind you could certainly raise the flop, represent QQ or 99 and put his AA and KK in a tough spot if you raise flop and then barrel off on the turn. 17:20 the main problem here is how can you be bluffing OTR when you overcalled the turn? On this dry of a board with no flush draws available you have to have a hand to make that 1500 overcall. Therefore he can be sure you are valuebetting OTR. Therefore he can fold easily even if he has a hand like Tx.
So happy for you to get so lucky after some tough hands that you had to play. Really awesome to see you finding some folds too.. sometimes they get lucky and want to punish you, congrats on the big win and playing so well. Casino looked awesome!
Oh ok good night night buddy I just woke him I didn’t didn’t know that he slept like he just did that he did that too much but he’s good babe I just hope he’s good for
That was some old school Rampage, reminded me of Boston Billiards, only with extra zeros in the stacks, that is the kind of video that has made you famous 😎👍
It is a really nice room especially with the sports book next to it. Watch some big games while playing. Always a good scene there. Just sucks being stuck in the middle of "nowhere". It's like a 3 hour drive from everywhere, but it's not an easy drive from any location.
Hey man it’s Matt congratulations on your win I’m the guy u met walking to the elevator on One of your tournament breaks. You have to see some of the waterfalls there I would love to show you some of the beautiful places in the world hundred foot waterfall like wow hope to see you next time. Just missed you in Vegas. They killed me 😆 good luck run we'll sir
Brilliant video, thanks for sharing. I really admire your discipline and emotional control, after all those bad situations. Question, at 3:42 with the Q high flush, In hindsight better to just call? The reason I ask, I'm not sure worse hands call you..... if roles were reversed would you call a check-raise with the J high flush?
Question.. at 7:35 how exactly does the high cards play here cause sometimes I see that the King kicker on this board would have made both of you split the pot or the person with higher 2nd card wins it or am I just missing something here? So which is it highest 2nd card or highest card on the board? for example that king could have been used for both your kickers??
Awesome video Ethan, I was able to meet you at this stop. I'm also the guy in the red shirt walking behind you in the outro lol. Best of luck hope to see you again next stop
Great vlog. Good to see high-stakes being played in a different place than most. Cool game and great job sticking with it and turning your session around!
On the QQ hand; regardless of results, the A was a fantastic card for your range given action. Clear bet, not “need to check here given it was one of 2 cards I didn’t want to see”
You keep saying you want to “mix in a low percentage” of checking on the flop with your value hands, but that’s getting you into trouble more often than not, and you’re flop checking pretty much all of your value hands in this video
hi I had a question .. on the first hand with A10 offsuit if you had bet a small amount on the river , like 100 dollars and he raised you , you could assume you’re no good and fold. Rather than losing 325 you would lose 100. any thoughts on that ? Much appreciated !
Good session after all. Glad to see you book a win after a poor start. Hoping for the same result for myself tonight! Book a win! Playing tonight in LA.
I watched Close to broke vid the other day where that guy trolled you and said you make bad vids and a bad player. You make one of the best poker videos Good content keep it up
I love cherokee its the closest casino with poker to me until they finish the Hardrock in bristol, Va. The circuit stop at cherokee are amazing all the guarantees are smashed. The 1 million gtd main event is always damn near 400,000 up top. I cant wait ten more days n they are back.
The KQ hand where you made second nut flush seems like too thin of a raise to me. Opponent is already pretty polarized betting the river, so seems really unlikely you ever get called by a worse hand when you raise.
Think that KQh river raise is probably wrong -- unless you somehow have a read that he's going to significantly overplay the Jh/Th, you're never getting called by worse and always getting raised by the naked Ah
Great session brother and I am just trying to figure out what 5 holding the guy called a 4 bet with but his bad decision turned out remarkably well for you brother! Good luck at the World Series I am rooting for you to get a bracelet to go with your rings.
You say that you can sometimes mix in a check with strong hands BUT you do it almost everytime on the flop. And when you got air, you bet 90 percent of the time. Not only does that make you easy to play against, you miss a ton of value with your strong hands
Check raised with the 4-cards second nut flush (KQ) on the river. What were you trying to accomplish? This is the big difference between you and Mariano.
Knowing me. I would lose the nut flush to some ridiculous back door full house that paired the board on the river. Oh wait that happened twice in one night lmao
What was your low point (cash) of the session? I play with a stop loss all the time because I find it mentally difficult to fight back when in a big hole. I rationalize this with the saying "just not my night"
I'll never understand why you don't bet when you have a vulnerable hand to protect yourself, but then bet when you have the board locked up. Just seems so reverse.
Think there was a few times here where your checks should of been bets especial when the board has draws you surely got to charge them in certain situations

good white water rafting too if you go south.
