It's not the air filters fault , when you put an aftermarket filter you have to tune the air fuel ratio . Air intake is more in these . And you have to clean the filters not just put it and ignore . You have to have some technical knowledge when you do the mods not just install something and say Ok Report .
Moral of the story money can buy u K&N Air filter but not knowledge... 😂😂😂

Bhai inko technical pata Ni kuch, k&n se air flow rate badhta hai par usko regularly clean karna padta hai, yeh toh woi baat Hui k car time pe service nai karai aur kuch failure hone par manufacturer Ko blame kardia.
Ye racing performance k liye design filter h. Ab aap city mei lga k chla rahey ho ussay kuch fayeda nahi h. Eskay aalawa jbb engine mei aap air flow bda rahey ho to uskay sath ECU bhi tune krrna pddta h jissey air aur fuel ka proportion match hosakey tbhi engine jyada power bnayega. Ye regular ride mei Lagana chutiapnti h. Moreover we don't have tune shop here in Delhi where they can put the vehicle on Dyno and tune the engine with desired performance.
Same happened with our sx4 also
I too have an additional experimental car. I have installed wider wheels, free flow exhuast system and stiffer suspension setup on it and have further lowered it to 130mm and further was willing to throw an intercooler and a turbo on it to make it fast but it just don't make sense when you don't have a platform to remap the ECU and monitor the power on wheel.
Just don't buy any k&n air filter, sx4 me laagaya tha, engine me dirt jaane lag gayi thi, engine just in time bach gaya, idol me bhi gaadi bandh ho raha tha
Sir This Air Filter is not just a plug and play product.. you ned a couple of things to be done before installing this k and n air intake filter.
(1) First thing is programming your cars Ecu for exact fuel and air mixture.
(2) Second thing is valve timing for inlet and exhaust valves.
(3) Third thing - if it is a petrol engine then you have to install performance spark coils and iridium spark plugs . But if it is a Diesel engine then you have to install performance fule injection unit with power rail for optimum performance.
(4) Swift Diesel is using DDIS ENGINE Which means based on timing chain not belt so most important change needed is performance camshafts bwith Timing chain and spoket ..
THEN YOU SEE YOUR CAR WILL STAY AT 2000 RPM AT IDEL AND Y CAN USE FREE FLOW EXHAUST FOR LOUDER SOUND.....

Wrong diagnosis. The suction power of K&N is very high and it will get clogged faster . The filter is stopping the dust outside as shown in the video.
If you are driving in the kuchha road you will have to clean the filter more often.
The easy way is to blow air on the filter.
So the problem is not with filter .
Dude you try to teach entire nation about ethics of automobile modification, but sad part is your research is limited to Karol bagh. K and N is only suited for countries at high altitudes, because oxygen level is low and pollution not much. For a city like delhi you already choked the engine day you installed it

The driving condition determines how soon your air filter gets choked. And that is same for engine oil n other consumables. K&N filter can only purify the intake air, it cannot fight back dust around it. In a way it was doing its job. You need to clean a k&n filter every 300 or 400 kms. Also injector cleaner should be mandatory for every 1000 kms. Atleast thats what i do for my duke 390.
The reason is not correct as u have used conical air filter so it has that issue and always go for air filter whish is as per company specifications as mgp product air filter is in filter box so it it will not compress the performance and as u have used conical it will collect dust

Not for daily use...
They give you best performance...but for limited time only...thats the reason why racers or rally guys use it for single race only..

Bro k&n is the best in its segment. Been using k&n in my maruti swift vxi 2008 model for almost 8 years. No difficulties so far and the performance has been terrific. Also using k&n in my pulsar 220 since 2013 with increased carb jets.

Ab usme kuch dikkat aa rahi hai ki engine se kuch kala smoke nikal raha hai aur gadi pickup nhi le rahi. Company service vale keh rahe hai kuch turbo kbarab hogya hai 70000 ka dalega. Stock is always best. Companies do a lot of research before doing any changes. Stock filter is 230. You can keep on changing every 6-10k Kms. Still will be cheaper than k&n or anything else.

K&N air filter is not at all good for diesel cars in conditions like India. Its very risky..avoid using it.
