Looks like another recipe that I will have to try, I have liked all your other meals. Thank you John for sharing your expertise and no nonsense approach to freeze drying your favorite meals. Happy trails!
I have had no cross flavors in my runs. I believe this is because I pre freeze everything. If I had put this in with milk not frozen I am sure the milk would pick up the spice.
Why not FD the hot sauce separately? Prefreeze hot sauce mini ice cubes, then FD. Could be dropped into the Mylar bag, in a separate tiny pouch/zip bag.
If you are worried about fat in freeze dried food you need to look at fat content that Mount House has in their freeze dry foods. They have been making freeze dry foods for over 40 years.
Looks great. I think you could just mix the hot sauce in to your liking after you cook it. My instspot takes a long time to get up to pressure also. Your adding cold things like chicken so its a little slower. Love your videos. Thank you.

I am in awe of your energy level and creativity! Amazing!!
Thank you so much 😀
I'm wondering when you are going to create a cookbook for your meals. Any plans to do so? I'm telling you right now, I'd pre-order 😊
Thanks. I am working on the savory book now. Very close to finish
Thanks for another great video John… from a new freeze dryer owner in Australia :)
My husband would immensely enjoy that!! Thank you John
Any time!
Oh my, that looks so good! I'm definitely going to make this. I can't find your link to your mylar bags? Thank you for sharing your recipe!

I definitely need to try this recipe, thank you for sharing!
Hope you like it!
Tabasco has mini bottles! The packets go bad over time n eat thru the package. But the mini bottles would work...
I thought about freeze drying the siracha to put in stuff .
I'll be making this one for sure. For the heat in place of hot sauce you could put a small baggie of dried cayenne in the pouch.
Thanks, great idea
Doesn't the milk pick up spicy flavors?

@@JohnInBibs good point. I prefreeze, when I can. Limited space. If I avoid Costco, my freezer stays more open. Lol

Evening y’all
how are the cookbook sales John?
about 2 copies a week, LOL
That looks pretty good, John! I wish there was a way I could freeze dry my gumbo, but it’s made with way too much fat to freeze dry it 😕
Just wondering if your jar of minced garlic is preserved in olive oil?
I have no idea, I buy it from the store that way
@@JohnInBibs read the label 😉
