Hi, I have the X5150, sadly I blew the RF output device and now have a repair on my hands, although your Xiegu is different model it looks like the general layout is very much the same! Thanks for an interesting waffle free video with no annoying background music. 10 out of 10! God bless, Bill G6ATO

Interesting to see that its a different machine under the hood than mine.

Thanx Matt, for the 'tear down'. Interesting to see the inside/s. Looks well constructed.
It really amazes me how tiny and fully functional radios have become over the years!
Of course, as soon as I got mine, the 6200 was realeased and the price of the 6100 dropped...oh well! 😂
    Cheers! 👍

Of course I found this video as I was reassembling mine after resoldering the DC plug. Anyone watching planning to disassemble one, don't worry about the ball bearings, you don't need to take the legs off at all to take it apart, they come off along with the side panels, so it's quicker and easier to leave them alone entirely and not even risk it.

Thank you, Matt. I am wondering if you have a schematic for this radio. I accidentally broke off the key jack at the SMD pad and the pads are completely gone. I can’t beep out the connections to it and add wires from other points. Anything you can do will be appreciated.

tnx Matt, that was really helpful. Do you have any experience or hint on adding thermal paste to the PA transistor? vy73/55, Tom (DL1HBT)

Yes I do. Done so on an older Icom 706MKIIG that I own.

My speaker jack fell off inside the unit when I was trying to do a Sota so was a wasted hike in the winter and can't hear anything on internal speaker or anything.
Do you know where I can find a replacement jack for the speaker to replace?
Assuming I need to open and solder a new one on...
    Thanks
