This is because I do the skip on keyboard, not controller. The inputs for it are quite precise and fast, so it makes it a lot easier to do them on a keyboard. As for killing the king, I'm not completely sure what you mean with RB, for me it has always been R1, not RB, which on a ps5 controller is called R2, but in this case I do the input for it with keyboard too. I hope this answers your question, if not, let me know. :)
Well, it is fixed (sorta) on every patch except 1.7 and 2.4. I get what you're saying, I don't mind it as much personally, but I would also like to see the same category, without skips. I've actually done a bunch of those where if a run was too slow to get a pb with, but had enough damage, I'd fight hotk every now and again, just to see if I can get a sub 10min, which I did a while back. Got a 9m46s but right after, i accidentally deleted my fresh file folder and lost the recording. I'll get another one soon though, hopefully

Just a question, this HotK glitch is only at 2.4 and 1.7 Not avaible on 3.4 How can i download 2.4 version. Every time I need to kill HotK and that makes my time a bit long.
If you are on steam, you right click on the game, go to properties, then select betas, there you will be able to choose every update. Yeah unfortunately it doesn't work on new patch, it would definitely be the best one for it, if it did. I do believe it worked on more then just 1.7 and 2.4, but 2.4 is the only one where it worked without having to quit out and reload the save so unlink lightspeed, but those versions weren't as good as 2.4 iirc. Anyway, hope this helps you out
We call it ledge cancelling. Basically what you do is, just below the ledge you attack, followed by a jump. As you're jumping up towards the platform, you want to aim it so that the jump happens just barely below the ledge. So (from flat ground perspective) it's jump -> attackjump. I use a ps5 controller so i jump (x) then slide my thumb from attack (squar) to x. The timing takes some getting used to, but it's become second nature to me at this point, after 25K + attempts. lol Side note: Ledge cancels can't be done with every weapon, but if the weapon is ranged, or has the ability to air-stall, you're pretty much always good. For example, throwing knives, balanced blade, electric whip can, twin daggers, blood sword, cursed sword cannot. Then there are some weapons like nut cracker that can, but it's really hard and not very consistent.
Oui celui là a quelque chose de magique que je ne sais pas comment expliquer. Je l'ai aussi ce jeu avec les dlc inclus et ce jeu me rappelle tout le temps
Ghehe, well when you put it like that, is does sound kinda silly :D The reason I say it is because during this grind,. I've had multiple runs that were on pace to be 20/30 seconds faster, entering Castle, but got horrible layout RNG, so although this run is great, I will keep at it for now, and hopefully get a 8min1x or better. Having said that, it'll probably be a while for that to happen, ngl :)
Thanks :). I've since beaten it to a 8m15s, i have a vid of that run too on the channel, if you're interested. Now for that glitch. It's kind of a long explanation on how it works, but basically what happens is that on patch 2.4, lightspeed is broken where if you use it ones and wait for 8 seconds, what happen is that the blue dash should turn back to the yellow/red one, for the cooldown is 8 seconds long, instead, on this patch it does do that, but it saves the second dash that you didn't use before. What this means is that you now have unlinked the skill and you'll be able to use it multiple times in a row, which, as you can see, totally breaks the game. :D
You do a coyote jump (press attack/jump as you are about to walk off the ledge) followed by a normal jump followed by a straight roll (this when you attack/roll quickly, it will give you a straight roll for more distance). It's not always possible. Some layout's make it pretty much impossible and most of the time you need a speed boost to make it :)
The lightspeed glitch is kinda hard to explain, but basically what I do is I bind lightspeed to two keys on my keyboard that are next to each other (they don't have to be, but it's what works best for me), one of which has to also be bound to the right directional button ->. This will be the key you press second while performing the glitch. So when you go to key bindings, for example: down arrow key you bind to lightspeed (doesn't matter in what skill slot you have it, left or right, as long as you bind it to the one lightspeed is actually on, obviously lol) Then bind right arrow key to lightspeed + just the right -> directional input and you're done. On patch 2.4 lightspeed is broken so that it unlinks after 8 seconds after using the first of the two zip/dashes (so 8 sec after when it turns blue). When you enter the HOTK arena, you want to face the wall, not hugging it, but almost, then you tab both button in quick succession (second of which needs to be the one that is also bound to your right -> input). The reason I talk to the corpse before this is because it pauses the timer but not the cooldown timer, so after using lightspeed ones, I talk to the corpse to basically cheese/wait out those 8 seconds it takes to unlink lightspeed without losing any actual time. You need to wait out the 8 seconds after using lightspeed ones for the glitch to work. Kind of a long story, but I hope it helps you out some what.
@@NanoTyrannus I think I understand... Thanks for the explanation! I appreciate how in depth you went! And great video! It was super fun watching you speed through it all
funny story actually😅. yes, they did "fix" it after patch 2.4 (on which this run is played), but iirc, they unfixed it a couple of patches later, and only on current patch did they fix it. well.. sorta. you can still do a similar glitch called oober (out of bounds hyper), but it is much much harder and requires at least one extra jump, which is a shame because otherwise current patch would be superior to 2.4 because of the new combo mechanics
It's kind of a long explanation on how it works, but basically what happens is that on patch 2.4, lightspeed is broken where if you use it ones and wait for 8 seconds, what happen is that the blue dash should turn back to the yellow/red one, for the cooldown is 8 seconds long, instead, on this patch it does do that, but it saves the second dash that you didn't use before. thanks :) the strat for that fight is to get her to run into the second wolftrap, after she breaks out of the first one, but this only works if you manage to deal enough damage before she breaks out of the first one, and unfortunately it was just one hit or so short, so she ran the other way, and i had to chase het around some what, and to be honest, that part went way better then usual, but it does not compete with the double root strat, which i mentioned in the beginning. basically, when you runs into the second wolftrap, is just about the same time that balanced blade starts landing critical hit, so by the time she gets out of the second wolftrap, she'll be already dead, or as good as dead, and from there on out the fight is pretty much over anyway, because she then does the phase transition (the part with the short dialog) and by the time that's over, your wolftrap will be off cooldown again, and because balanced blade still has crits active at that point, you just throw the wolf trap and finish the fight, taking 2 seconds or less, most of the time, so you can imagine that the chasing her around, did stack up time loss, compared to, what is basically having her stand in one place while you attack constantly, but yeah, i definitely remember thinking that the run was dead, after i failed, getting her to go into both wolftraps, but i don't think i could've played that fight much better, considering i missed the double root strat. i remember it was very rewarding, immediately followed by the nerves shacking for being on pace 😅

It's kind of a long explanation on how it works, but basically on patch 2.4, lightspeed is broken. When you use the first of the two dashes, it wont automatically go on cooldown when you do not use the second of the two dashes in a certain time window, well, actually it does, but on patch 2.4, it glitches out, where the cooldown still happens, but it happens in the background while lightspeed stays blue (blue being the state where you normally would only have a few seconds before the cooldown starts). So when the background cooldown is done, (which takes 8 seconds, thus is the reason I talk to the corpse in the last transition room, which pauses the timer and you doesn't lose time waiting for said cooldown) the game will effectively store/unlink the blue dash from the, now ready to use lightspeed, meaning the game thinks it's off cooldown and treats it as such eventhough the icon is still blue, meaning you now have three instead of two dashes. This will break when you now use it twice in quick succession against a wall, giving you zip speed, which will last until you hit an obstacle, so biomes like promenade, you can zip straight across, as long as you're high up enough to miss every obstacle. Also you can skip almost any boss in the game this. How to actually do it, knowing all this: - Put lightspeed in your right skillslot. - Stand really close, but not hugging a wall, facing it. (in this case it has to be a wall that's on the left of you, like in the Thrown room. - Now you want to press lightspeed, followed by lightspeed + right direction button. That's it... The reason you don't see my inputs on the controller overlay is because I use a keyboard for it. This way if you bind one key to be lightspeed, and the one next to it to be lightspeed + right direction button, it's much much easier, for you can just hold (for example) you middle and ring finger together, and do it in one tapping motion, pressing both keys, and since your middle finger is, or at least should be :p longer then your ring finger, it'll make the timing of it a LOT easier. Not saying it can't be done consistantly on controller, but I highly advice using a keyboard. This is a basic overview how it works (as I understand it). :)

Ghehe, yeah it's because I use a numpad for it. It's only two button presses though, (not counting the second dash and killing the king at the end, for these are not important, just normal keyboard control inputs). I have two keys, one is mapped to be lightspeed and one to be lightspeed + ➡, which you have to press in very quick succession in just a few frame window, and this is much easier to do on keyboard/numpad etc. then it is using controller buttons. :)

I do believe it worked on more then just 1.7 and 2.4, but 2.4 is the only one where it worked without having to quit out and reload the save so unlink lightspeed, but those versions weren't as good as 2.4 iirc. Anyway, hope this helps you out
Great video! How can you skip the animation when double between vertical platform like that?
We call it ledge cancelling. Basically what you do is, just below the ledge you attack, followed by a jump. As you're jumping up towards the platform, you want to aim it so that the jump happens just barely below the ledge. So (from flat ground perspective) it's jump -> attackjump. I use a ps5 controller so i jump (x) then slide my thumb from attack (squar) to x. The timing takes some getting used to, but it's become second nature to me at this point, after 25K + attempts. lol
Side note: Ledge cancels can't be done with every weapon, but if the weapon is ranged, or has the ability to air-stall, you're pretty much always good. For example, throwing knives, balanced blade, electric whip can, twin daggers, blood sword, cursed sword cannot. Then there are some weapons like nut cracker that can, but it's really hard and not very consistent.

Bro the end he done said a no speed glitch out of here
I should try this too
That was soo smoth 😮
Sets World record, says "Defenetly Not the run" in description. Lol
Ghehe, well when you put it like that, is does sound kinda silly :D
The reason I say it is because during this grind,. I've had multiple runs that were on pace to be 20/30 seconds faster, entering Castle, but got horrible layout RNG, so although this run is great, I will keep at it for now, and hopefully get a 8min1x or better. Having said that, it'll probably be a while for that to happen, ngl :)
Bro skipped hand of the king with a glitch? I didn’t even know u could do that
Wow, how to do this glitch at this end i'm using all my brain but i still don't understand. Good job for your pb
Amazing!!
Gad damm that was fast
Congrats! Is this done with a random or a chossen seed?
Thanks :) This run is none-seeded.
Beast
Can you explain to me the promeade glitch? I remember a previous wr holder having to fight the elite; how did you manage to skip the whole rune phase?
You do a coyote jump (press attack/jump as you are about to walk off the ledge) followed by a normal jump followed by a straight roll (this when you attack/roll quickly, it will give you a straight roll for more distance).
It's not always possible. Some layout's make it pretty much impossible and most of the time you need a speed boost to make it :)
How does the hotk boss skip work? Is there a bug that effects lightspeed when you looked at the corpses?
It was super fun watching you speed through it all
Damn that was fast
Yo nano i need to ask smt did the devs fix where the bug u can skip hand of the king?
funny story actually😅. yes, they did "fix" it after patch 2.4 (on which this run is played), but iirc, they unfixed it a couple of patches later, and only on current patch did they fix it. well.. sorta. you can still do a similar glitch called oober (out of bounds hyper), but it is much much harder and requires at least one extra jump, which is a shame because otherwise current patch would be superior to 2.4 because of the new combo mechanics
literally saying oh fuck!! he skip the boss

How the hell did you loose 12 seconds at the time keeper?! 💀 That was a really good fight
thanks :) the strat for that fight is to get her to run into the second wolftrap, after she breaks out of the first one, but this only works if you manage to deal enough damage before she breaks out of the first one, and unfortunately it was just one hit or so short, so she ran the other way, and i had to chase het around some what, and to be honest, that part went way better then usual, but it does not compete with the double root strat, which i mentioned in the beginning. basically, when you runs into the second wolftrap, is just about the same time that balanced blade starts landing critical hit, so by the time she gets out of the second wolftrap, she'll be already dead, or as good as dead, and from there on out the fight is pretty much over anyway, because she then does the phase transition (the part with the short dialog) and by the time that's over, your wolftrap will be off cooldown again, and because balanced blade still has crits active at that point, you just throw the wolf trap and finish the fight, taking 2 seconds or less, most of the time, so you can imagine that the chasing her around, did stack up time loss, compared to, what is basically having her stand in one place while you attack constantly, but yeah, i definitely remember thinking that the run was dead, after i failed, getting her to go into both wolftraps, but i don't think i could've played that fight much better, considering i missed the double root strat. i remember it was very rewarding, immediately followed by the nerves shacking for being on pace 😅
Someone please help me understand how any of what i seen is possible!? 😮😅
I'm kinda confused how he just skipped right past the fight with the Hand of the King

@@NanoTyrannus ah, I think I get it now. I'll have to look into that a bit more
I don't understand how do you skip the final boss? I made all the samr thing but I can't skip him(((
It's kind of a long explanation on how it works, but basically on patch 2.4, lightspeed is broken.
How to actually do it, knowing all this:
- Put lightspeed in your right skillslot.

no button presses at the end. 🤨
