    Thank god, im so tired of seeing creators say "use this trick to do this to shortcut into the algo". I've noticed alot of creators talk more about "understnd the algo" and not "hack" it as you say. Such a refreshing video! First of all, thank you for the clear advice. As someone new to LinkedIn it's very helpful to hear a strategy and to understand how the algorithm thinks. I've subscribed and will definitely be watching your backlog!
    Second, as a consumer, I want to validate what you're saying regarding the importance of sharing valuable information in order to get customers. I am very wary of purchasing from people who do "teaser" content -- articles or videos that speak mostly in general terms but hint there is more for paying customers. Instead, I am quite happy to support creators who seem to be giving it all away for free. Most important, I feel I can trust someone who has given me enough material to prove they really DO know what they're talking about and that their primary concern is contributing to others' growth (and not getting me to spend $97 today, when the super low sale expires coincidentally on the same day I found them). I have paid for courses, private FB groups, coaching, books, etc., confident that I will receive the same high quality that I'm already used to from them. At the very least, if I'm not going to purchase, I like, subscribe, and recommend their products or services to others. And leave long, rambling comments like this to feed YT's algorithm! 😂

    Nice video, engaging communication style and interesting insights. Why is it Linkedin articles aren’t pushed much?

    • @DelawareShoutOut
      @DelawareShoutOut  3 місяці тому

      Thank you! And it's cool that you're asking about articles, because I'm in the process of creating an in-depth video about articles vs. posts. Probably the main reason articles aren't pushed as much is because they're a lot longer, and most people are in "scroll" mode when they're on any social media, including LinkedIn. That said, personally, my articles get more impressions than any other format I do -- even slightly edging out PDF carousel documents! That's because I do 2 best practices with articles: (1) I publish all my articles through my LinkedIn newsletter, so that my newsletter subscribers get notified of my article, depending on their account settings, and (2) I write a post that directs people to the article. So articles CAN work extremely well, but from my experience, only with these best practices, which honestly take very little time to do.

    • @DelawareShoutOut
      @DelawareShoutOut  4 місяці тому +1

      Thanks for asking, Bill! My understanding is that LinkedIn prefers posts that are created directly on the platform. However, that's not always possible when you're trying to streamline your workflow and are posting to multiple social media sites (I use a third-party platform for this reason). That said, if you're just posting on LinkedIn, you can use LinkedIn's scheduling tool, so your workflow is somewhat streamlined and you're posting directly on LinkedIn.

    Love this video. I'm a content strategist for the small company I'm working for, a very new one and I'm still learning a lot. This is very helpful, but I want to know if this would these tips apply to all types of businesses? For example, the posting a selfie bit might not be possible for a company but for a personal brand, maybe. Would different things apply to a company? Thanks a lot.

    • @DelawareShoutOut
      @DelawareShoutOut  4 місяці тому +1

      Thanks for asking! Selfies might not apply for a post coming from a company page, but just remember that posts from personal pages are significantly more favored by the algorithm. It would behoove a company to have someone or a few people on their team post on their personal pages and represent the brand that way.

    Hey, I want to know that what can be done if we think we have a spammy profile. I have a profile, I post and do better things, but the engagement on my posts is less. What should I do? Should I make my current profile better?

    • @DelawareShoutOut
      @DelawareShoutOut  8 місяців тому +1

      It's totally fine to make your profile self-promotional, as long as it's also professional and matches the industry you're posting about. As for the low engagement on your posts, it could be so many factors that are causing it, but I would look closely at your posts' topics (do they provide immediate value to your audience?) and if you present them in a compelling way. I have a video called "I roast bad LinkedIn posts and show how to fix them," and that may give you some guidance! I hope that helps!

  • @JenKumar
    @JenKumar 6 місяців тому +1

    In your video, it's mentioned that we should post once every 24 hours. Does this only reflect our original posts? How do reposts from others influence this if at all?

    • @DelawareShoutOut
      @DelawareShoutOut  6 місяців тому +1

      That's a really good question, Jen, and I don't have a perfect answer for that. Personally, I don't count reposts in the 24-hour period. Also please understand that 24 hours is a guideline. If it's easier to create 3 quality posts a week than 7 posts a week (which might not be as high quality), then go for the 3. :-)
