I have the Shoei RF-1400 as well. It's a good helmet, I quite like it. It is difficult to put it on and take it off before it's broken in. Eventually the padding will conform to your head making the on/off procedure a lot easier, although I still have to move it around on my head to get my ears to unbend. 🙃 I notice you do not have the chin curtain installed. It will further reduce wind noise as well as help keep your face warmer in cool conditions. They also make a Transitions (photo grey) visor. It's a bit pricey, but having an auto darkening visor is super convenient. I live in San Diego, California, US, and it's sunny and hot in the summer, like 38c hot. The lens will only darken the amount needed depending on light conditions and returns to clear in seconds if you happen to go through a tunnel or parking garage.
The AGV helmet is a really good brand too, did you know they make helmets for fighter pilots? Still, like the others, better costs more. It looks like you got the K3. It's a fine helmet as for as the protection it offers, but may fall short on other amenities. But they also make helmets as high as $2000.00 US and all the bells and whistles that price affords. Not a lot in the mid-range though. I enjoyed your run through of both helmets - like and subscribed.
I ride an Indian Scout btw, what's your bike?
Edit: I know it's already a pretty long comment, but I have to say the D-Ring closure is the best closure on the market. These others, the ratchet and the quick connect can actually fail and have failed in real life situations. The D-Ring will never fail. And a quick pull on the red tag will loosen it immediately. I won't buy a helmet that doesn't have one.

      well thats goodf to know
it definitely is getting a bit more comfortable as time goes on - i'll have to look into the chin curtain thingy
i'm riding a triumph Scrambler 400x at the moment and i love it - ive seen a few of those Indians about, they sound amazing
i've checked out some of the transition and tinited visors but we dont get a whole lot of sunny weather around here so i'll probably avoid
