That so called "Sony" player is a cheap Fony. I had a *real* Sony portable DVD player at one point, but the lens wound up broken on it.

Sounds like a lame portable DVD player if you have to attach the display separately on it. Too much extra hassle for a portable DVD player if you want my opinion.
