Infinite Darkness was a character regression for both Claire and Leon. Their interactions were more matured in Degeneration and more trusting of each other. RE:ID's characterization would've fit if it was before Degeneration or after RE2
That’s why the series didn’t so very well. We all were expecting them to make Leon and Claire a thing. They instead made them have issues with each other.
@@LegendaryTalesandTrails i dont think capcom even thinks about making them a "thing" when throughout the entire games and movies they were developing leon and ada's relationship. even angela had more going with leon than claire which is kinda sad.
To be fair the bullshit Leon had to go to was because of Claire after she left Sherry and Leon the government picks them up and forces Leon to work for them or Sherry be in danger
If you haven't already, I strongly urge you to watch my videos on Claire Redfield. There's a story EVERYONE missed, and it explains almost EVERYTHING strange about Claire. Start with: "The Original Claire Redfield story everyone missed." or you can jump into "Resident Evil Degeneration, unique detailed review."
It a bit sad to see how Leon and Claire relationship "soured" in Infinite Darkness but then again Leon was okey with Chris in RE6 which was set in later years than 2006 lore wise. So I guess Leon eventually made up with Claire and not to mention with the upcoming movie Dead Island where all the RE characters appear
She is mad at him but this isn’t a friendship ender. Besides Leon is on the right side of the scale here. What Claire wanted to do would only bring mass panic for a little while only to subdued again by the powerful agencies at work here. Hopefully Claire will realise it and make up with Leon. Also we know Leon supports the idea to bring the truth out. He is one of the people who suggested Benford in RE6 to bring out the truth. The right way to do it, because when it’s being said by the US president it has an entirely different impact then being aired on a few news channels that can be easily shut down. It also wouldn’t ensue mass panic because it wouldn’t be shock reveal of misdeeds but acceptance of it and taking responsibility. Unfortunately we know it doesn’t turn out that way in RE6 because of Simmons and the family Assassinating the president before he can say anything. They had issues here but I don’t really count this as a fight. Claire is hot headed, so I’m sure once she calmed down she would understand Leon did the right thing and go have that dinner.
@@LegendaryTalesandTrails and knowing Claire after she cools down and finally understands that she hadn't fully think about the situation. I got a feeling it'll be an expensive dinner that'll be on Leon.
Claire Become Another character after this event when she was in Revelations 2 she said to moira when she got the gun (it’s more reliable than any person like steve said to her in code veronica ) this is the turning point for claire and I hope we see more matured serious claire in Death Island
1:52 LOL considering this happened in 2006 in the RE universe, Leon should've said: "People don't read newspapers much these days. Haven't you heard of Yahoo news?" LOL Anyways, thanks for this upload. Being the Claire Redfield specialist (that's what others call me) this tells you a very sad story about Claire. You need to know what to look for. I'm going to release a video called, "the psychology of Claire Redfield's trauma" ... I'm going to include a clip from this video to show you just how BROKEN Claire actually is.
so… it bothers me that Claire decided to go separate ways with Leon. I get that she may have been angered by the fact that he didn’t want to give her the chip, but she’s not an idiot. She acted like a child, immediately jumping to conclusions without even talking it through. I don’t ship them, but I did want them to have a friendship. It just felt very uncharacteristic of her.
I didn’t rewatch Degeneration a whole lot but now that I’m seeing it, there’s a few similarities to RE4’s ending. The offer of a lift on a chopper and the refusal with Claire saying she’s got her own thing going on. Plus there’s that whole lighthearted and playful energy to it. Claire asking about Leon going diving harkens back to Ashley wanting to know who Ada was.
They shouldn't have bothered revisiting this point in time in the RE verse, Re 4 and Re 5 were already connected by both Degeneration and Revelations, there's no point in going back. Setting the CGI animation between Re 7 and Re Village would have made more sense.
I agree and btw I realise that Leon and Claire are getting old If we look at Resident Evil Village Shadows Of Rose, Leon would be 60 years old and Claire 58 years old lol Clearly from a canon pov they can't appear anymore after that XD
degeneration feels so natural and Infinite darkness feels so forced and lame (its so stupid for leon for not telling the truth to claire, i mean her brother is Chris for god sake, sigh)
Why did they massacred Leon's face like that , he looked so handsome in re 2 and re 4 , not just in remakes but in the old ones too But then in those movies they start go msje his face different and obviously bad I hope they stop it
" i thought you called cause you wanted to grab dinner" Damn this shows that Leon really wanted to have dinner with Claire and talk with her, enjoy the time with her maybe things would have hit it off but Claire on the other hand was more focused on the chip more than Leon or maybe not like that but that is just my theory honestly really wish they grabbed dinner together, Maybe they will be together in RE9 hopefully
Chris(pops up from the bushes): “Blast it Leon! Do you have ANY idea how hard it was to get those restaurant reservations for you & Claire?! And don’t get me started on the prices! The BSAA doesn’t pay 💰 me enough for this!” Leon: “Yeesh, not again. Dude just take Jill to the place and leave me alone!”!Lol 😂
Infinite Darkness was kinda boring and often times feels dumb but visually it was pretty decent. I just don't like the fact that Leon suddenly sounds so young even after RE4 and degeneration. It's annoying understand that people didn't like this cause their fantasies Leon x Claire 😅. (When actually have the most fan service scene about this) Very well wrote and the finale is a good point to the canon to see how they follow different ways and Leon changed his perspective. That’s why the series didn’t so very well. We all were expecting them to make Leon and Claire a thing. They instead made them have issues with each other.
But maybe they learnt from it & we’ll eventually see a movie or show or game even where they rectify that.

I don't think Leon and Claire was really that close, specially when compared to Chris and Jill.
@haroldcruz8550 I mean they are close since the raccoon city incident
someone please go out to dinner with leon jeez
