"First up is Swampert"
People who picked Treecko:
People who picked Torchic:
You can replace both with breloom, fire isnt really a desirable type in hoenn, alternatives are too slow
@@yhebebeno you can’t ,Sceptile is by far the best grass type in gen 3 .Brelooms good as a fighting type, but it’s garbage special attack simple doesn’t allow it to execute the grass attacks properly .
@@danielkolesnick9417but swampert is just too good of a starter for getting sceptile
Sceptille and aggron already do the job of manectric and swampert
Well yeah... swampert is the best starter gameplay wise for hoenn...
My personal team from start to champion (original games):
- Swampert: absolute beast, always useful
- Gardevoir: special sweeper. Can be replaced with Manectric since Psychic is not really that necessary after gym 2
- Sableye: seems weird, but it's unique type combo in gen3 makes it useful in a lot of situations. Can be swapped with Dusclops
- Breloom: physical sweeper, absolute beast all around, especially with Spore
- Salamance: a monster in every possible way, a drag to train since u get Bagon pretty late but worth it
- Aggron: a solid wall with versatile movesets, can be swapped with Exploud
Dusclips is ghost while sabelye is ghost/dark, a combo with no weakness
@@TheFalseDragon indeed, this is the tactical advantage of Sableye. I said Dusclops as a replacement if you want a more tanky option
@@TheFalseDragon As of Generation 6 and beyond, when the Fairy-type was introduced, dual Ghost- and Dark-types like Sableye and Spiritomb have one natural weakness. Just wanted to make that clarification.
@@lawthewisecrack thank you for telling me what i already know.... i talked specifically about generation 3, not 6.
@@TheFalseDragon Honest mistake! I reread the OP and missed the parentheses.
My team : Sceptile Gardevoir Flygon Camerupt Tentacruel Skarmory
#Justicefortorchic
Metagross is a much better choice than Aggron
Finally Aggron gets some love
Best semi psuedo
He has big stat of defense
Absol would only be good in the remakes since in gen 3 the physical special splits didn’t happen yet and all dark type moves were special. So add strong physical attacker + special only stab moves and you can see where this is going
I love how you can have 4 water types in your Hoenn team and not share any weaknesses between them:
Swampert/Whiscash
Pelipper/Gyarados
Ludicolo
Kingdra
Nuzleaf got the entire bakery supply factory 💀
Hoenn team : Blaziken, Gardevoir, Flygon, Milotic, Crobat, Metagross
Metagross is only post game, except for the shiny event one in oras
I agree, only ya need a breloom as well if I could double the starters swampert and Blaziken would be my choices.
Flygone not really the best😅 I don't know why but it weaker compare to selemence
@@LycannCrimson-io7sp Flygon you get early and it might be weaker but Salamance can't use its stabs, special.
@@nobodybroda3826 I use dragon claw only because I don't know why salamance more to physical damage😂😂😂😂. But I always got one hit tho
So many underrated gen 3s
Best team of emerald
1) swampert
2)slaking
3) manectic
4) salmence
5) gardevoir
6) torkoal
Absol high speed and attack but my normal pokemon use takle one hit 😐😐😐😐 not the best seriously. Swampert not really the best because there's more water type pokemon and more good than him. His team so not good but I agree with gardevoir
Literally like just 5 of the Pokémon in this team can Mega evolve
*4
@@jangparajan7001Swampert, gatdevoir, manectric, agron and absol can mega evolve
Swampert
Salamance
Metagross
Gardervoir
Regiice / Milotic
Crobat
Personally I've been running Swampert, Breloom, Magnezone, Shedinja, and Altaria.
First of all why did that grass Pokémon at 8 seconds have a dumpy 😂😂😂
Ahh yes Crosby my favorite gen 3 mon
(No hate I love crobat)
my 6: yes i admit Swampert and Garde are both good choices. and Crobat is always a good option to choose for a teammember. 4th member is Breloom. real strong physically and Pysical/special split helps it a lot. 5th member is the Birb, Swellow. guts with fast and strong mon always dangerous. 6th mon is generally i say what you are most relaxed with, but i would go with Magnezone considering Magnezone is the bulky steel type with electric coverage.
Salamence
Blaziken, Alakasam, Ludicolo, Magneton, crobat, walerin. Electric gym was the only challenge with this team
Flygon left the chat
The typings are great, but the move pools of the Pokémon aren’t great (Crobat, manectric, aggron, absol)
Not all 'mons need to have big movepools to be Effective. Crobat [Steel wing [TM], Sludge Bomb [TM], Aerial Ace / Fly / Steel Wing is good enough. Agreed in regards to Manectric and Aggron.
@@misters6749
Crobat is only now good, in pre-fairy era it was mediocre
@@TheFalseDragon Crobat was always good in playthroughs due to how quick you can get it (Happiness Evo) and that bananas speed.
@@misters6749
It still dident made him good, his weaknesses to psychic, ice, electric with poison attacks being usless made it mediocore, you can get better flying mons, swallow is much better
@@TheFalseDragon useless is a strong word but it’s fair to say that Swellow (when you get to use it) is a much better attacker
About to do a alpha sapphire playthrough 😁😁😁😁😁
Salamence mega swampert metagross aggron flygon hetran
Bro wtf is hetran? If you meant heatran, that’s a legendary and gen 4
@kanechristopherson5142 man I love how your getting mad at a kids game because I said one pokemon wrong and I spelled it wrong with only having one hand idk who hurt you but crawl back into your hole there jack
Heatran not from hoenn. Are you really playing Pokémon? How come you so so wrong????
This should be top 5 best Pokémon of hoenn but Crobat comes from Jotho
No it's for the best team for a hoenn playthrough
Bruh flygon , salamance , breloom and Metagross are jokes to him
Breloom, Swampert, Swellow -> Dodrio -> Salamance, Electrike -> Magnemite -> Magneton. That's all you really need.
A dark type against phoebe, tate and lisa would be ideal too
@@dimunnpabebet7040 your… not wrong. Lemme fix that.
My best hoenn team which I use in game is (Pokemon Omega Ruby)
1) Sceptile
2) Crobat
3) Gyarados
4) Groudon
5) Ninetails
6) Magnemite
How would you guys rate it out of 10.
Why pick Aggron when u can have Hariyama instead?
Why pick Crobat when Swellow is available and has Guts for that sweet boost + stab Facade and yeah against Elite Four Swellow is mostly dead weight but even more so is Crobat especially against Steven where as Swellow can at least solidly dent Claydol and rocks with Steel Wing, the only downside to using Swellow is having to keep it poisoned/burned but hey Its still better than Crobat who deals only with Cacturne and Shiftry who are also destroyed by Swellow
Ayo Absol threw me off though I did catch a shiny one in my X file after I reset it. I'd honestly use my boy Salamence though because it is one hell of a fast hard hitting truck powerhouse. 😎😁🐉💙🔥(These are a nod to it's blue color and of course using Flamethrower)
Swampert, Salamance, Aagron, Gardivoir, Hariyama, Linoon(Slave) swap for Metagross
Honorable mentions Blaziken and Sceptile because they are fantastic but you can’t beat swampert
Swampert, Gardevoir, Breloom, Aggron, Manectric and Salamence 👍
The best team for gen 3 is: swampert, manectric, crobat, bennet, loudred and hariyama
Manectric is outclassed by Magnezone (ORAS)/Magneton and Absol is terrible even with a mega
Metagross and salamence left the chat
Just ignores some of the best pokemon in its generation in metagross, salamence, milotic.
And bc I know someone's gonna be all like they're all late game mons, then here's better options then ops video, that serves early/mid game instead
Swallow (guts + facade + STAB)
Flygon ( has access to 11 different move types, and better stats then most of the pokemon in the video)
Cradily ( access to toxic, ingrain, protect, giga drain, stealth rocks, pain split, recover, rest, amnesia)
Skarmory (good bulk, plenty of hazards, good defensive and offensive typing, and access to a few good hitting offensive moves)
Dusclops ( good coverage, while yes a bad offensive stats, it's okay for being a middle stage evolution, and it's more built for defensive anyways, with access to a variety of status inducing moves, as well as recovery in pain split, rest, and such high defense stats gives it a better longevity. )
You want more offensive pressure early on? Look at breloom who has 130 base atk stat and u get it at level lv 23, which is before the 3rd gym, with access to Mach punch for priority, seed bomb, and sky uppercut for heavy hitting, all 3 boosted by stab on already high attack stat. Want more variety, remember when u beat the first gym and got rock tomb? Guess what breloom can learn that too. Still not sold don't forget ur breloom can be defensive and great for catching other mons, with access to the poison heal ability, the moves in spore(if u want to wait a while with a shroomish) false swipes, and stun spore
4 of these 6 are among mu personal favorites. Excellent team!
Swampert Garados Gardevoir swallow agron breloom or (latios) if we counting ORAS
Nah, sceptile with leaf blade and miracle seed is far better then swampart, you can teach him earthquake
Idk. Swampert is the better pokemon. But blaziken + ludicolo is too good. The type coverage from those 2 are all you need
Mine is Swampert, Gardevoir, Aggron, Altaria, Absol, Glalie
My team
Blaziken
Breloom
Agron
Crobat
Gardevoir
Salamence
Blazekin
Septile
Mantatric(I know that the spelling is wrong)
Swampart
Crobat
Armaldo
Best team is
Swampert
Gardivor
Gyrados
Magneton
Scarmory
Salamance
Yes. Absol, my boy
My team
Swampert
Breloom
Torkoal
Manectric
Crobat
Gardevoir
I'd say replace absol with hariamah because absol has low speed and no bulk
My hoenn team is: swampert flygon crobat gardevoir ludicolo and ninetales
Dude Alakazam is better than Gardevoir hands down
Blaziken Milotic roselia (roserade)gardevoir absol skarmory !
Absol is very unique because it has a high attack stat
Is this supposed to be only hoenn pokemon? Cuz crobat is a pokemon from gen 2
I used
Septile
Galade
Glaceon
Salamence
Milotic
Arcanie
Swampert,swellow,hariyama,manetrick,absol,walrein
Actually i would use this team : Agron , Stealix , salamance , metagross , tyranitar , septile
Wait isn't he said hoenn? Why you put steelix and tyranitar together?????
And it sceptile
Crobat isn’t a hoenn mon tho… I mean it’s available but it’s a gen 2 mon
I really like swampert, he is a cool water type, with only one weakness, without coynting freeze dry.
I like the choices here except crobat, there are many better options.
ChatGTP working overtime
When was crobat a gen 3 pokemon
Never. What, do you think just because it's from Johto it's not able to exist in Hoenn?
Hes in the hoenn pokedex
For the purposes of a play though and the team you’re most likely to have at the end of the game
My personal team would’ve been
Starter: Blaziken
Swellow my bird to be spamming guts boosted facade and aerial ace…
Breloom to deal with water types
Manetric
Flygon
And Kyogre… undoubtedly the best legendary in gen 3
Great type diversity… all mons easy to find… only overlapping type is fighting which is offset by manetric to deal with flying types… relatively fast hard hitting teams… you could in theory jus spam rain boosted surf with Kyogre through most of the game and 100% accurate thunder for opposing water types and ice beam for grass types…
Move thunder is 75 accuracy. How come it 100???? Is gen 4 game already got buff????
I prefer slaking than aggron 😁
For me the best team will be
Blaziken
Gardevoir
Dragonite
Manectric
Ludicolo
Aggron
Always loved Sharpedo
Salamence? Houndoon?
Needs moar shedinja and kecleon
MysticUmbreon beat ya to it bro
Seriously no fire types?!
Lost me at manectric lol
Absol...utely sucks
Gardevoir always
Replace aggron with breloom, hoenn is a dud defensively, all those defensive mons have so many common weakness
Maybe Breloom with Absol
Ludicolo and Gardevior are like unofficial 4th and 5th starters in gen 3. Always a must for a Hoenn team. Ludicolo is perfect team member to fill the Grass or water type. Especially if you picked Torchic.
Ludicollo has ugly design, i prefer lombre
Absol lol
No pseudo's?
My Hoenn Team: Blaziken, Metagross, Ludicolo, Salamence, Flygon, and Gardevoir
I’m currently using Sceptile, Gallade, Aggron, Swellow, Flygon and Linoone (not as an HM slave but as a beloved team member) .
Gallade isn’t hoeen homie
@@Christianramz3434 I know but it’s a new evolution for a cool Hoenn Pokémon. I was gonna use Gardevoir but I wanted to try something new.
Isnt crobat from Johto?
My last team: Swampert, Gardivoir, Aggron, Camprupt, Flygon. I forgot my last member :skull:
I love this team, but here’s my Swampert team
Swampert
Aggron
Altaria
Manectric
Starmie
Ninetales
There are a few things wrong with this. Firstly, magneton/magnezone is much better than manectric. Secondly, breloom should be on the team. Thirdly, aggron isn’t good. Rock steel is an awful defensive typing and aggron has bad special defence which means it will die to a single special water move. And Lairon doesn’t evolve into aggron until level 42. And I don’t know if you know this but, Aaron and Lairon are really bad early game.
Unfortunately as there was no special/physical split, Absol was kinda underwhelming in Gen 3
Someone never used facade burned absol and its shows 👀😁
@@sirloin6856 no absol is good in stat, even he is dark type, because absol have sword dance, with shadowball combo, he really beast.
The team I like to go with (doesn't differ a lot but some of these pokemon are cooler IMO)
Walrein
Camerupt
Medicham (only available in ruby/sapphire but I normally trade for it/cheat it in)
Cacturne
Skarmory
Manectric
Personally I’d do
Swampert with surf ice beam earthquake rock tomb
Flygon with earthquake dragon claw fly u turn
Cradily with sludge bomb giga drain ancient power earthquake
Claydol with psychic earthquake calm mind substitute
Medicham ice punch brick break bulk up reflect
Aggron iron tail double edge rock slide crunch
swampert, metagross, breeloom, swellow/gardevoir, salamance, manectric. My team for ORAAS
For emerald I’m currently doing blaziken, manectric, gardevoir, flygon, cradily, and starmie
My Three Teams (based of the starters pokemon and how well they work with them) **in my mind they work but yeah hehe
1. Swampert, Alatria, Torcoal, Seviper, Breloom and Aggron
2. Blaziken, Pelipper, Magnazone, Shiftry, Chansey/Blissey and Absol
3. Sceptile, Swellow, Hariyama, Gardevoir, Milotic and Metagross
My first hoenn team that beat the league was
Sceptile
Azumarill
Mightyena
Electrode
Linoone
Groudon
The Groudon is a bit unexpected but this is a really underrated team.
@@anthonyt425 as a kid, catching a fucking dinosaur on fire with not even a master ball and putting it on your team was a pro gamer move
The fact that there’s not many strong Grass types makes Swampert that much more dominant in the hoenn region.
You forgot Camerupt.
I know that Blaziken is better but you still need him to beat Sceptile because you get iceray too late.
Best Hoenn pokemon is Zigzagoon😶
Based. Linoone sweeps emerald e4
For the purposes for best competitive Pokémon with only mons introduced in gen 3
Metagross, salamence are obvious first picks… milotic is bulkier than swampert on the special side and is hit for only 2x damage from grass moves.. it’s also faster too… so that would b my water type…
Blaziken and breloom to round out grass, fire, water core…
And then probably ninjask for baton pass speed boost and swords dances since our team is mostly physical attackers….
Ninjask + focus sash… protect swords dance baton pass into matagross
+2 attack +2 speed metagross with clear body to prevent stat drops is kinda crazy…
Earthquake, meteor mash, shadow ball, land psychic is insane coverage and with only 2 weaknesses to fire and ground in gen 3 it would b hard to remove aswell..
Hella agree with this team. Though it'd be nice to see a team meant for Hoenn specifically so like if someone was to play that generation of games again or something. Especially since Fairy typing is still new-ish and Mega evolving haven't been around in awhile, A team meant for gen 3 games would be ideal to hear, especially with the title of the short.
Don't get me wrong! I love all these people and a few of them are under appreciated!
I always use breloom, but I agree with nearly everyone on this list.
I approve of this list 😂 not that it means anything but I like this list lmao
Finally no gardevoir comments
Are we doing best for a play through or best overall?
It’s my favourite region, and swampert is ma boi
Edit : I swear Crobat is from johto
It is from Johto, but it’s easily obtainable in Hoenn
