1200kgクラスの軽量化、もしくはサイドブレーキの開発してくれないかなぁと思います✨
サイドブレーキは電子制御と絡みますし、設置もなかなか難関な作業になりそうです…

Edit: Well I "could" have afforded the Type R but then I would have to much money left for students loans, rent, food, etc. haha

I'm surprised Honda left enough room in those arches to fit 295's as used by the J's racing showcase car. That's WTF sized rubber, especially for this sort of car. It feels to me like the engineers/designers and Honda in general are the most genuine motorsports enthusiast entity left in the mass production automotive industry, as a unit. A single design element such as this, allowing that much flexibility when every inch of space is an opportunity for dirty speculation in today's broken corporate environment gives me reason to respect the people at the helm of that company. Credit given where credit due.
I've got an FK8 and what jumps out most for me compared to other rivals is how relatively easy it is to work on. If you're into modifying it the platform still has that tuner focus that cars buried in plastic panels lack. Open the bonnet and it's all there. And the put the turbo at the front. Not between the firewall on European cars.

@@360leeky4 Yes, Fujita Engineering (FEED) with the FD3S 24.94 and J's Racing with their S2000 24.96. The times might not be 100% correct but they are out of memory.

J's Racing said " Until this autumn, we are going to make a more intense version to go higher level. We will bring it."
Spoon said " We will take a new approach. At this moment, we cut off VSC. But we are going to use VSC and trying to find how we could optimize VSC to make a totally balanced FK8."
Cusco said " Our priority is not the engine but suspensions and LSD. We are going to make a well balanced car with them. So we are developing now."

If you're using the browser version, you can use the Japanese subs (not the auto generated) and then choose auto translate into English. The translation is pretty good and understandable.

Can someone inform me on the spring rates these cars are running? I do not understand the characters. Are they in KG? Thanks!
Yes they are, just use s google convertor for spring rates
Yeah it's in kg. For example the Spoon car is running 8kg front and rear.
Yes they’re in kg/mm, which is equivalent to 56lb/in. Japanese tuners always use kg/mm.
Spoon- 8kg front and rear (450lb)
J’s Racing- 10kg (560lb) front and 14kg (785lb) rear
Cusco- 16kg (900lb) front and 14kg (785lb) rear
The softer spring rate on Spoon definitely seems to favour the undulating surface at Gunsai. More compliance and travel. The other cars seem to be set up for track, and using a very stiff rear to help the front turn in without understeer.

Would this civic's non type R chassi still be good to track or tune or are the differences between the R and the regular are far too much?
FK8 is a great handling platform regardless of version 👍
The chassis’s are quite noticeably different and the suspension geometry on the FK8 is far superior to that of the Si’s and standard hatchbacks. I came from owning a 18 Si to now a 21 Type R and it would definitely take the cost difference between the two cars to make an Si compete with a stock type r.
@@-DC- FK8 is type R only, FK7, FK5 etc are non-type R
