Love from a New Yorker❤ Here are some tips for anyone looking to try it out🗽:
1. We call “hoagies” Heros! Idk why lol
2. Start off with burger patties! They taste very different from plain ground beef, texture and flavor wise (there’s celery salt water in burger patties and other flavorings) Cook it👩🏾🍳 and CHOP it up with cheese, hence Chopped Cheese🧀
3. Seasoning the chopped up meat with SAZÓN, Adobo, black pepper, fresh onions. NO PEPPERS🙅🏾♀️🫑 lol this ain’t Philly, and peppers don’t go on a cheeseburger.
4. Once cooked add whatever cheese you like, authentic is American or cheddar. Cover it and let that cheese steam ♨️ Then mix!
5. Toast that bread like a panini press!😅 add mayo and ketchup, lettuce🥬 and tomato🍅Then your cheesy beef!
Everyone puts their own remix on it, which is totally fine❤ However, the authentic way tends to get lost. So I thought I’d share with everyone looking to enjoy😊

I'm from Harlem where chopped cheese originated from. Yes it is really good, and you can basically add whatever you want. It has been changed over the yrs, and to pls liken.
The simply do taste like Kool-Aid, I think it’s that lemon. My uncle always made his with a pack of lemonade and it was so good 3:22
