- The 2024 Mazda CX-50 is updated with a more comfortable driving experience with softer steering and comfortable suspension.
The November CX-50 production vehicles and forward will have these updates including a rearranging of some HVAC control buttons.
The Turbo CX-50 has 256 HP and 320 lb-ft of torque with premium gasoline.

Test drove the 2024 CX-50 twice...and now I got one on order (Premium Plus Turbo with Zircon Sand + Terracotta). This will be my fourth Mazda after a 15-year hiatus. These new ones are "all there". The test drives were game changing. These are drivers cars...the torque, handling, and comfort belies the price tag. A lot of bang for the buck vs an Audi, Mercedes, BMW, Toyota Crown, etc. Save yourself $20-40K+ and test drive the CX-50.
You just sold me.
It's PERFECT. That will be my next vehicle in a few weeks!
This car needs the 8 speed IMMEDIATELY! That’s all it needs and the independent suspension
I rented a Mazda CX-30 Carbon Turbo, and I immediately fell in love with Mazdas, that torque goes crazy.
As someone who isnt a fan of mazdas look, this is by far the one i like the most. First time seeing one with those accents and body lines on the front, it looks way more sharp amd aggressive. Looks cool
Just got this car in windchill pearl and terracotta interior! I love it!
CX-70 please
Yes, can't wait to get all the info on the 70. Depending on the price point will be the big decider if I get it or the 50.
Great looking car! I love the terracotta interior.
Any idea when Mazda gives info on Cx-70?
The second coolant tank is for the air to water intercooler nothing to do specifically with the tow package.
I have an appointment later in the week for CX-50 turbo test drive. Interested in the Turbo Premium package. First considered the Meridian, but wasn't wild about the hood decal and that it didn't have certain features such as the Bose system. Don't have any interest in installing an aftermarket system in a new vehicle. Meridian is being shopped as off-road capable, but there isn't a single skid plate underneath. Local dealer had a non-Meridian turbo model on the showroom floor complete with BFG all terrain tires (could have been KO2's), Mazda factory lift kit, and a rooftop tent. Looked weird to me.
Is there a way to tell if it has the updated dampers/steering?
Is the stitching on the door cards and dash terracotta color?
Any mazda sales update?
Any word on hybrid powertrain for the 50?
Hey Jonathon, is the glass more soundproof in the CX5 which would make it more quiet than the CX50?
Is there a wireless phone charger on this trim ?
CX-50 :)
How is the highway Road noise for passengers in rear seats in Mazda CX50 GT Non-Turbo in Canada, and in USA called CX50 Premium Plus Non-Turbo? How noise compares to Honda CRV Hybrid 2024?
More power is misleading, has exact same power as 2023 model
Jonathan, I wonder if those of us that have the 2023 CX 50 can purchase the upgraded dampers to improve the ride??
Just trade car for 24 model
@@yournightmare9999 Nah, I've only had mine for a year. I'd like to keep it for at least three years or longer
Any specific build date known going forward that assures it has the new dampers and steering updates?
Nov 2023 according to their press release a few months ago
@@kefir911 But how do we know that for sure? So every CX-50 built in November and on has the upgrades? Just seems weird not have included them on every 2024 so as not to have confusion on the matter. My wife wants the CX-50 but wants the changes.
To everyone asking about the CX-70 just take the rear(3rd row) seats out the CX-90 and there you go!! It's been confirmed we won't get the CX-60 but rather the CX-90 rebranded the CX-70.
I thought there’s only 3 turbo models but you said 4 turbo models? Base turbo, turbo premium and turbo premium plus
Meridian trim sits between the turbo and turbo premium. It’s basically a turbo with a few style (decal, rims, tires, I think a bit more for the 2024)
This car had a gas cap wow!
Any Cx-70 details yet 😁?
Hi, is the turbo engine in the 50 the exact same as in the CX5?
Yes it is 👍🏻
I'm looking for a CX-50 turbo premium in Ingot Blue. Can you find me one for $40,000-$41,000 range?
There are some out there with MSRP around $43,000. Purchase price around $41500-$41800 depending on other savings available. Where do you live?
Wireless charger doesn’t seem to work with iPhone 14…. Even when I remove the case. Anyone else have this problem?
Did you turn off battery saver
How many times is he going to say turbo
Not folding seat! Wow
Besides the fact that it's one of the top 5 most gorgeous cars on the road no matter make, model or MSRP period.
How are the 2024 seats compared to the 2023? We have a 2023 Turbo Premium+ and LOVED the car
EXCEPT: Ride way to hard, steering to stiff and the seats were unbearably uncomfortable.
I mean PAINFUL. We put gel pads in and that helped a little.
NO JOKE: Last Thursday I drove the car to and from work 62 miles round trip.
I couldn't use the gel pads that day. My butt was sore till Friday afternoon.
There is NO way I could drive this car on an extended road trip. I would drive my 2012 Acura TSX with 129,000 miles on it first.
We are selling the car. Buyer picking it up day after Christmas. If they fixed our main 3 issues I will buy a 2024.
2 out of 3 were resolved. The seats are still the same.
I’m sorry for the late response on this comment.
Have top 2023 version, the seats are a deal breaker. Not just firm..."hard as a rock" on long trips, no idea why they didn't deal with this widely criticized issue for '24. The rest of the pkg exceeds expectations overall and amazing value.
No subwoofer no bose system 🤔
This, as he said in the beginning of the video, is the base Turbo model. Bose is in the Turbo Premium and Turbo Premium Plus in the Turbo models. On the non turbo models, only the s premium and premium plus.
@@gailenrique2804 i watching without sound at that time
@@yournightmare9999 Still your fault.
@@tycanuck 😭
Still prefer the CX5.
Yes take the CX-5 on high speeds and on corners, U would feel
Its body roll 😂 but not on the CX-50 👋
@@rayavlogs Not much body roll to me. I find on my CX5 that the Toyo OEM tires would give up far faster than anything else. When I changed out the tires, the car overall handles better.
@@digitaldoc100Which ones did you go with?
@@sunitjoshi3573on my CX5, I have Landspider CityTraxx which are better than the Toyo for grip in dry and tire noise
Even modern turbo engines are more problematic & sensitive to certain driving conditions/patterns. Not worth it IMO.
What a clown show upgraded suspension mazda not cool for customers who bought the 23
2024 doesn't have more power.
He was saying this trim hss the turbo, which has more power than the more expensive, highest trim non turbo he wss comparing it to
They are starting to SMOOTHE out the edges so it's NOT so "rugged" and powerful looking-- which is ALSO STUPID... They had a perfect design and now are messing with it.. IDIOTS. When you have something good- DON"T CHANGE IT-- make something different separately.
This guy has no idea what “off road” is.
