My favorite book from folk air series was definitely queen of nothing. Jude is such a strong MC! Holly black did such an amazing job at world building because if you read other fae books, like ACOTAR, they don't mention nearly as much as what cruel prince did. I think if I read any other book before cruel prince, I would for sure have a hard time understanding the fae realm. Being titled enemy to lover ruins for ppl because romance readers expect lots of it, but you won't get much of it until the last book.
i kinda went into it knowing it was more political based and didn’t have a lot of romance which is the reason why it took me so long to pick it up. i definitely enjoyed the book but it felt like a lot of information dumping at times.
Love the video💖, I wasn't a fan of The Folk of Air series myself, was very hard to get an opinion, but the second half did save it. I am dying to read Binding 13, I just need to get my hands on it lol🥰
I got the original editions of boys of tommen because I heard things have been changed in the one you read. I have cruel prince but it doesn’t sound very interesting but my sister and I are going to probably buddy read it together at some point!
i honestly would love to know what things have changed from the self published to the traditionally published versions! i have the self published of the first one so maybe i’ll compare them. a buddy read for the cruel prince sounds like so much fun! 🥰🫶🏼
the traditionally published version is around 600 pages. i was worried to but i ended up really liking it! if you like Mariana Zapata and found family tropes, i think you would enjoy this book!
