And six years after you first posted this? Still helping people out. Thanks! Was getting frustrated trying to figure out how to change it out. Wish I thought to check UA-cam earlier.
Thanks for your tutorial because it made things so much easier! I have the Echo Universal Speed Feed head that allows feed to be loaded by simply pushing it through the head, then winding the head. It can be an enormous time saver, but I'd never been able to get the OEM head off the trimmer so that the Speed Feed head could be installed - this video did the trick!
Worked like a charm. Fantastic, quick explanation. Wish I would have known about the speed head ahead of time. Ih well, when this one wears out in 10 years I'll get one. Thank you
Hi Back Sorry I Don,t Think i Can For My Honda Is Working Fine and i Service it My Self But If You Put Into Your Honda Shop IT Will Only Cost About $50 ish And It Will Be Great Working For You Again Mate
Excellent tutorial, thanks. But could you please teach us how to open up this Honda Whipper Head, and free a snapped off line, which is caught in there??
Great video thanks, the head didn’t come with instructions on how to put it on. I’ve never done it before. But I just replaces like with lily. But this was super helpful, thanks

U tube , punch in “ain’t no way” you will see a guy American about 45 with a baseball cap on back to front , watch one of his videos, he starts his videos with “you tellin me for forty years “ I’ve been doing the screw in the bump stop for 5years 😂 until I saw your video and ordered a new one …..easy as thank you.
Great video....I wish you give the specs on the exact speed feed package....hold it up so we can see what kind it is and manufacturer....thank you again silky!
Hi Mate sorry i Can,t now for i have thrown the pack away But it is a Honda Speed Feed Head You can go to A Honda Shop and ask for one Thank you for your comment
Looks easy to do :D I got given a mower that a neighbor was going to throw. It blows white smoke pretty good through the muffler. I got to pull it apart to find why. But other than that it works well
Soak/leave your nylon cord in water. Nylon is 20% by weight, liquid and by soaking it allows much more flex and less breakage. No substitute for good nylon though.
Thanks mate. One more question i have the Honda UMK 425U cutter, would a Honda W4 Heavy Duty Speed Feed head Fit? shortcutmowers.com.au/product/new-honda-w4-heavy-duty-speed-feed-head/
That's what I need to get. I am sick of having to individually cut cord for my Whipper Snipper. It lasts for 10 minutes and then I have to go off and cut another one.
LEGEND!!
Thank you for that!
Nice clear explanation and demo.

Hi mate, when replacing the line, do you need to open up the head to take any left Over line out or can I simply feed the new line in there. Cheers

How do you make the line longer?
You tap the head of the river on the ground and it releases the cord that’s how you make it extend
