Beautiful CADILLAC! What a treasure. I have my parents 1958 Cadillac that they bought in 1960 from a DR. friend of theirs. I was 1 year old. I'm still driving and enjoying it today.
A older guy I know who knows Cadillacs, told me that old flathead 8 is a smooth running engine. What amazes me, about these beautifully designed 48-49 Cadillacs is that during both those years the bathtub Packards outsold this car
It's a 61 series for sure and probably one of the very best restored 48 Cadillacs on Earth. I doubt you'll find another 48 series 61 Sedanette. Rare to begin with and most likely none left. Wonderful opportunity to actually get to see one!
Yes, series 61 were advertised with one backup light only. But when I restored this car, I found right side backup light hole was press-punched exactly the same as the one on the left side. Wiring appeared to be original as well. The original owner family have early photos of the car and the right light can be seen. I think I purchased the original order report from Cadillac (GM Media Archives) I'll look see if it shows this as a requested addition. Of course I suppose it could have been dealer added, but that hole was done near perfect. Thanks for your comment.
48 and 49 I’m pretty close to the same car but the grills definitely don’t interchange. In 1950 is a completely different car and nothing will interchange on the front of the car or pretty much the rest of it
What a beautiful piece of American art wish grandma' was still her to show her she loved Cadillacs

WOW! Nice! One of my favorite "drivers" is my 1958 Cadillac sedan. Thanks For Watching
So elegant, with the exterior and interior colors

That is just about the most beautiful thing in the whole world.... Sigh...
Just had the car in to check things over before springtime driving. Looks as good now as it did when I made this video!
Correct,it is a 61 series. It should not have any backup lights. The 48 62 series had just one backup light on the drivers side. 😊🏆

I never liked the grill in the '48 and '49. Wonder if the 1950 grill would fit? Nice car!
