"Moral arguments don't work on bigots" could have saved me soooo much time in past.......
TRUTH!
@@ExkupidsMom YES!
I left the Southern Baptist church over 20 years ago after I realized my own morals convinced me to leave that place of cruel money-grubbing bigots.
“Moral arguments don’t work on bigots” Me learning that was very important when it came to me figuring out what argument to used against them.
@@LazyIRanch I tried teaching my mom that you don't need religion to have morals.
Moral arguments do not work on bigots. If that ain't the f*cking truth, nothing is. Well said.
Or republicans, the most "moral" of us all👀.
Yeah if I had known that a little earlier in my life, I would have saved myself a lot of time and frustration
Because bigotry itself is a delusion, and so the only way to uphold it in conversation (even internal conversation with oneself
This needs to be on a t shirt
I second that emotion, wish I knew how immoral some of the loudest screamers about morality really were, still, in this century, it's unbelievable!
In my 26 1/2 years career, I was stationed at many US Military base's that had restrictions on businesses due to the business inability to embrace all fellow human beings. Guess it's time to show people in TN just how well restricting the business of bigots work. 😎👍🏿
@@TheKhronicle Hope the troops help out.
Ditto my 16 and a half before retiring due to combat wounds. Places where my fellow soldiers weren't welcome didn't get the money of me either. Or of any soldiers who were friends of mine. Nor, once command learned of it, of any soldiers stationed on that post who fell under that command. As an aside point, it warmly heart that discrimination against serving US Military pisses Beau off as much as it does myself and I assume, you, as well. Good day to you, Hooah!
We military stick pretty much to restrictions. I was stationed in Okinawa and restaurants there were rated based on their cleanliness. They had to affix a letter to their window indicating how safe it was to eat there. If the letter was an "A" then it was safe. Lower than you were taking a chance of getting sick. Guess what? I went to an "A" class dining facility and became ill from contaminated food containing mouse feces. That required a medivac back to Scott AFB hospital. The dining facility also took a drastic hit to its business from a reduction in its "A" rating. Bigots will be easy peasy!
💪🙏✌️🇺🇲😎
Grew up and surrounded by military and a base... absolutely this is a "thing" and proud of it
A truck stop about 40 miles from me fixed its restroom situation this way: all were converted to single person use. All were labeled to accept either men or women, not uni-sex. Door locks were added. What I found significant about this change, as a man, is that these are now the cleanest restrooms I have ever had the opportunity to use. Win, win, win.
That's the easiest solution.
@Sarah Payne I'm more afraid of Republican politicians being in bathrooms than trans people. They seem to have a history of sexual misconduct in bathrooms.
Many places are starting to do that. And make them wheelchair accessible and stick a change table in too, if appropriate. Add a vase of artificial flowers, and it's all good.
The truck stop did itself a favor with the fix , a fix that is good for truckers.
A hip restaurant in my Houston neighborhood has little rooms with toilets and without signs. All opening onto a big room with a giant sink -- for all.
And dispensers with Lava soap. Because the restaurant was once a filling station.
I love how ferociously pissed Beau felt in this one.
Thanks for making my comment for me.

Ahh the ridiculous bathroom issue. Taking the term "acting like your shit don't stink" to a whole new level.
The bathroom BS has been ongoing for years in Tennessee. A former friend (from high school days), so completely embraced the MAGA worldview that he proclaimed he would carry his pistol to protect his women in public restrooms.

Who in their right mind leaves WA for TN?
I left WA state for Arkansas about 23 years ago and my older children had a fit on the locals about their racism and bigotry! They made a difference and I am very proud of them for that. I also had another child after moving here and they made sure that in-spite of his father’s racist attitude that he doesn’t have a racist bone in his body and I am proud of them for that as well. I had to leave WA to get my kids away from the trouble they were getting into after their father died and my mom had moved up here from TX and she was getting older so I felt I needed to be closer to my family. I also had severe seasonal depression up there, because of to many months of darkness. I had to get back to the southern sunshine ☀️! I do miss WA and I managed to get back there for a visit a couple years ago and it was awesome. It’s definitely vacation land.
That was some carefully controlled rage there, brother. Bravo. You are a lot more judicious about what you are saying that I have been.
You hit the nail right on the head, darlin’! Though born & raised in Chattanooga I was lucky to escape the state and its narrow thinking folks for decades before coming back to care for my dying parents. Thankfully my parents raised us to be fair, honest and loyal.

Being a "blacklisted" business in a military town like Clarksville is a death knell. Once they see the business fall off, it's decision time on economic survival.
It's hard being a human rights voter in a state as red as Tennessee. Spitting into the wind doesn't even begin to cover it. every time a lovely, refreshingly progressive candidate challenges a knuckle-dragging Republican, I enthusiastically support them. And every election day, my fellow Tennesseans let me down, not only with the outcome, but the sheer margin of victory.
The world must be a scary place for the haters. So sad.
I believe that is why there are so many inbred people.
It's even sadder that some politicians are deliberately stoking their fear for pure personal gain.
I've seen those types of people comment all over the place on social media. They are indeed the most scared people in the country, while calling their political opposition babies/snowflakes/etc. They just happen to be part of the demographic that's largely in power in this system, so they're catered to.
