Imagine we can control a rover and analyse rock samples on another planet but my WiFi connection keeps dropping out 😂
You are SO lucky that you only have to imagine it.

Dr. Gupta did a great job of communicating this discovery approachably and accurately
And I for one welcome our new microscopic overlords...😏

My microscopic name is on that rover! I hope they look me up! :D

@RalphOK Yeah it's creepy AF, I keep expecting a tiny Xenomorph to pop out 🤮
He's campaigning for more grants!
Surely he had a martial attitude, not jovial. They’re not exploring Jupiter.

The fact that xenon 129 gas has been found on Mars is interesting
The only time weve detected it is when we detonate Thermonuclear weapons :/
This news is far more important than most people will realise. If this is true then the universe will be teeming with life.
Or our star system (and maybe galatic region) is somehow unique in a way we don't understand.
At the very least, it brings the curve down massively on the requirements for life.
So many stars in a Galaxy, so many galaxies in the universe.....to me it is improbable for us to be the only life in the universe. There must be lots of life out there, unfortunately we can only imagine what it must be like
@@PaulWelshpersonally I've never understood why the fixation on carbon based life. Just cos we're carbon based doesn't mean all life must be, surely?
PaulWelsh, you either find a proof or lying
@@greathey1234 yeah I know. I'm not religious about it. I don't have certainty life exists out there. But if I was a betting man, I'd put money on it.
This makes a change from searching for signs of intelligence in Tories.
Already an underrated comment. Lol
"Beam me up Scotty. There are no signs of intelligent life here."
😆
😂😂😂
Must be amazing stuck in your own solipsistic little world.
Rock guy here. How about YOU SHOW US THE ROCK??
It's a recording of a podcast that is just cut and slapped on UA-cam. Considering the amount of non-stop content they produce I imagine it'd be too much work to have someone go through and edit all of these like 5-10 minute videos just to add pictures or whatever for context, they'd have to have people editing 24-hours a day lol. I found the images with a google search of "mars rock had possible life".

One step closer to the edge of the 'dark forest'...
We are probably a quarantined planet, to those who are brave enough to leave the "Dark Forest!"
There were reports of signs of intelligent life at the RNC last week but then J D Vance opened his mouth and all hopes were dashed and we realised intelligence was long gone.
Talking of unintelligent life.....JD Vance fits that description perfectly
Those reports have been proven false.
There was _no_ intelligent life at the RNC last week.
Full stop/Period!
Fact.
Hey, I arrived at this comments section looking for signs of intelligent life , but I was unable to find anyway, sorry!
Wow what an original thinker you are

Now imagine hundreds of millions of years ago life was everywhere on mars but a microbial life killed everything off and NASA has just found it and wants to bring it home. 🥺
Be fine with me.
I haven't seen a head injury like that since tom&Jerry 😂
He will push it down in a sec and a X shape plaster will appear
If you push it down it just comes back up on the other side.
You've got it all wrong; it's the rock from Mars he is fashioning. It has a jaunty hat.🤣
2020s: This decade has been awful
2030s: Hold onto your hats, they’re bringing alien microbial life back to the only f*cking planet we can actually live on 😂
What could possibly go wrong? 🤷🏻
It is HIGHLY likely to be long dead having been blasted by radiation for tens of millions of years and even if it WERE in any way viable it's HIGHLY UNLIKELY to be any sort of pathogen it'll just do something harmless like lay eggs in your chest and explode out a bit.
How hard is it for people to realise the difference between fossil evidence of life that's been long dead for billions of years and something that is actively alive? We have ENDLESS rules and regulations for the stuff we send from Earth to other planets to make sure we don't contaminate those planets. You really think they'd bring anything back to Earth if there was even a 1% chance of it ending life on Earth? Scientists are a lot cleverer than us lot commenting on a youtube video put together.
All a smokescreen , tiny worms arent threatening ( lol )
Id be more curious about what NASA IS NOT telling us
Like Xenon 129 gas found on mars. Whats so exciting about that you say ?
We never detected this gas til June 1945 = when we detonated the 1st Thermonuclear weapon :/ . mars has several times the gas traces & its planet wide
Trump lives on Planet MAGA
I love this stuff
It is interesting isn’t it? Dr noggin found a rock on mars with a rover but somehow missed the one on..
That's the rock!
Life flourishes so easily on this planet. 6000 different species of insects alone. The thought of any planet, moon and asteroid out their that doesn't at least have bacteria and microorganisms growing on it is absolutely absurd and makes me roll my eyes.
The Viking lander had this moment, then they realised the experiment was broken. Don't get your hopes up.
Viking thought it had detected current life, this is completely different.
This is a signature of long since extinct life and is much more likely to be real.
@@bipolarminddroppings 'Likely'. Not certainly. Note that the Viking developers thought that their experiment was bulletproof.
Saying that, I do personally believe that microbial life on Mars was highly possible in the distant past. In the present, maybe, in some very special locations.
First time they seen something like this.... They saw Crinoids on a Martian rock once and drilled right through it.
He’s. Just because it has 1 sign of many that are needed…..possible life. Every time they see a planet with water….possible life. Life only happens maybe one in a trillion planets. Thousands of things have to happen for life.
The experiment(s) was not broken, it was tested on two different probes in completely different regions on mars and gave signs that there may be life on mars. But it could also be some chemical process that we don't know of yet as it wasn't conclusive enough to say one way or the other. I don't know where you got that the "experiments were broken" but it's false information. It should be noted that we tested those devices rigorously on earth and it did not a single time produce a false positive, so it was working fine. It's just that when it comes to Mars the evidence needs to be much more substantial than what was shown in the experiments themselves, so further testing is needed.
Are we the only intelligent (sort of) life form in the entire universe, or are their beings so advanced our brains are unable to comprehend it..
The latter I hope! Better than the advanced being, whom chooses what does and doesn't stay as a comment! 👍⚛️🛸🤣
logically there will be many life forms 'out there' but logic also dictates that they are so far away that we will never make any contact with them or they with us.
That rock on his head has life on it.
lol we found the alien life 😳
😂
any signs of life on earth though?
Plenty of life, but intelligent life? That remains to be seen.
Wow... we've never heard this before
Would have been great to post a pic of the rock to totally understand what you was blubbering on about.
"Possible" being the key word
exciting news.
Is that a No 2 on his head ?
There seems to be a small unidentified craft which has landed on the profs head?

Gotta say it........ MOLE! MOLE! GUACAMOLE!!! Poor scientist has the largest mole on his head I've ever seen.
Curiosity rover also found Elemental Sulfur inside a rock,
which broke by the rover accidently driving over it.
Hopefully a maned mission is on the near horizon and then
we'll be able to do better science on Mars.
Off topic but hope this guy has had the lump looked at, they can be painful and even sometimes cancerous unfortunately.
This is ridiculous. Microbe?🙄
I want to see at least lizards roaming around.
Professor seems to have his own alien culture growing on his head!
Dr. Gupta, when you order through Temu
Wow!!
I can't take my eyes off his head
It’s like a bugs bunny cartoon after a baseball bat to the head
I found rock on Blackpool pier tasted nice
I want to know what happened with the piece of asteroid (or meteorite?) that was supposed to have arrived to Earth with bacteria in it. That seems to have been brushed under a rug.
Remember the movie called "Life" that was released in 2017? 🙈
For some reason, they like to depict aliens as bad...
I was expecting evidence of spiders at least 😊
This is such a huge change for NASA. To say yeah this looks like it could have been formed by microbes is a massive shift from seeing a river delta with pebbles etc and going well this can’t possibly have been formed by water!
Till a Martian comes up to the camera gives a wave I am not gonna get excited.
I see signs for alien life on that guys head
This is TINY news. Absolutely TINY.
is it the rock on his head? It is special!

They've known about life on Mars since the 60s
There was far more intelligent life on Mars than just microscopic life. The truth has slowly been discovered and will be even more slowly revealed.

Mars was teaming with life before earth was
New movie, extremeophile microbes from mars brought back to earth and they come back to life, then people becomes infected and it rewrites all their dna to the mars alien microbe that grows into the mars ALIEN, that then goes on feeding frenzy...
Jesus these comments
So the real questian is is it DNA based life. And if it is, did it start on Mars or Earth or somewhere else
