G'day, thanks for the trip to Geelong, a vast network of line in the Geelong area, it still puzzles me why in Australia we still have 3 different size lines, so much duplication, cheers mate, keep safe, Neil 🤠.
It's a left over from the early days that never quite got fixed 🤔🤔 Glad you enjoyed it 👍 😀
awesome
I am very happy to hear you enjoyed the ride 👍 😀
Another Suberp video 📹 , the Broadguage tracks, along with Turnouts by the Level Crossings, along with the Ģrain Wagons,Pacific national, a True 👍 Panorama, as always you capture all these elements, Thank you..
You're welcome. I am very happy you enjoyed the ride 👍 😀
3:59 The station at Moorabool looks like a family home. 😳
It is privately leased so I guess you are correct. 👍😀
Great work, again. Certainly some traffic changes to look out for heading in. Well done!
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it 👍 😀
I know V/line and freight operations are separate but would love to see a camera on one of those grain trains from the Mallee or Wimmera rolling down to one of the ports
Let's see what happens in the future. That would be good 👍 🙂
Are the signals @ 6.07 a new trend? And the points @ 7.30 do my head in! Thanks for another fascinating journey. 😀
That is a banner indicator. It is relatively new, been around for a few years now. It gives the driver advanced indication of what is on the next signal. Glad you enjoyed the ride. 👍 😊
I like North Shore Scrapping!!!!
And a second track on that bridge 🌉 that has the provision for it..
It had two tracks on it at the start but one was removed in the early days. 👍🙂
Ararat - Maroona - Gheringhap - Geelong line i reckon?
You would be correct 👍 😀
I like how the Anakie Road level crossing has the NSW style pedestrian crossing
Interesting 👍 🙂
Why do standard gauge trains slow down when they approach Anakie Road? However, sometimes I notice they do not. Great videos btw.
One of the tracks has a speed restriction on it due to a defect in the track. Very happy you enjoy them. 👍🙂
(6:51) My bad! Didn't see the other Kilometre marker on the right-hand side of the tracks.
👍😀
maybe a dumb question here, but the works going on the moorabool viaduct will that double track?
No plans for double track that I no of 🤔👍😀
@@driver667 nw thx
Putty Cat, its our holiday here, Called Thanksgiving 11/23/23
I hope you have a great and safe thanksgiving. Enjoy your holiday 🐈🐈👍😀
On the dual gauge section of track, is the speed limit the same for broad gauge and standard gauge trains?
No, broad gauge is slower on the dual gauge. 👍🙂
That will make running suburban trains to Melbourne Airport via Albion to Airport West at speed.
@@howardfranks2937 the airport line will be a completely new line just for airport trains. 👍🙂
Discrepancy (6:51) The Kilometre marker showed 70 but your count showed 74 Kms.
@neilforbes416 as i mentioned in my previous comment
@@Mediawatcher2023 👍😀
@neilforbes416 The Kilometre on driver667's screen is corect showed the correct speed it be the same if you have a built in Navigator in your car.
@@Mediawatcher2023 that 70 sign neilforbes416 referred to is actually the speed limit for that section, not the km's from Melbourne. 👍🙂
@@driver667 so your speed is abit out
Back to the land of grafitti.
Yes 🤔👍
@@driver667Yep,graffiti a blight on our rail system around Geelong and esp the Melbourne rail system,it seems to cover every piece of accessible rail infrastructure loath it
@@gregthompson3274 it would be nice if it were to disappear 👍🙂
