You should buy it. Had this phone for 4 years and no issues. The screen, battery, weight, functionality are great. Camera is excellent along w the display. Thought abt S24 but not much difference. Lastly, this is last phone w SD Storage so don't have to "buy" online storage bc internal storage can be easily upgraded on this phone w SD card. I have not had any memory issues. This phone is a 10!

Currently using the S20! I was planning to upgrade to the S24 but honestly it just felt like a waste of money. My phone is running perfectly fine and the new phone barely has anything new so I'll probably just hold onto my S20 for another year or two!
Update: I got the S24 Ultra.. lol

Do you play any games on it? I have been using a note 9 as my dedicated gaming pad. But it's starting toose battery rather quickly.

I bought the s20 as a backup phone a while ago while having an s23 as my primary, then i traded in the s23 for an s24+, and i regret it big time. The s24+ isnt bad but the s20 is better at nearly everything i care about from my phones outside of bluetooth connection to my cochlear implant for audio streaming and battery life being the only things the s24+ has better. I prefer the s20 curved back, display, microsd storage, etc. Thinking about selling the s24 plus and getting another s20 cloud white color and seeing what they come out with in the following years. What do you think?

@theworldbroke2670 Actually... I just got the S24 Ultra like 3 weeks ago 😂😂😂 I personally prefer how it looks & feels over the S20, plus the software updates and the new features... but if these things don't matter to you, then go for the S20 it's still a great phone!

I've had the s20 5g ever since a year after it came out. (Phone has been out for 4 years, I've had it for 3 years) I've had absolutely no issues with this phone and have dropped it more times than I can count and it's still flawless minus a shattered back glass. I just ordered a new phone case for it today.

I have it for 3 years now, still very fast and yes mine is exynos version. Screen is one of the best. Camera sucks ass, unable to focus most of the time. That's why I want to change phone. Also charging port has problems too, need to readjust cable sometimes for it to charge (not a cable problem, but port). Charges fast. Battery not good. Only on saver mode it lasts long. 120hz is cool, so I can't stand 60hz. Overall phones 6.5/10. When it was new it was awesome, not anymore.

can vouch for this having the s20 for 2 years now. exynos version too.. the exynos performs well enough doing daily tasks. the screen is top tier, gets bright enough to see even outdoors. camera does its job well enough in my experience provided good enough lighting (although this applies to pretty much nearly all phone cameras), and i have no issues when it comes to charging. its quick, and my charging port is still good.
my only gripe against this phone is with the battery. i find myself going off to work with a full battery, not touching my phone in between and then about 6 hours later, my battery would have drained quite a good bit (from 100% to 60-70%). although you should consider the age of the phone, and other factors including apps and processes running in the background, and the heat of the environment. but from my overall experience, the battery isnt great. and the fact that this phone tends to heat up pretty quick too at times doesnt help with the battery duration.

I enabled battery saver so charging is limited to 85%. Phone never gets hot when charging and I still make it through every day zero issue. If I ever feel like the battery life is suffering, I have an extra 15% I can tap into. My girlfriend has been through several iPhones in the same 4 year period.
Android 12 is still supported so haven't even needed to update the software in years.
My S4 and S7 were great, but this phone is just on another level.

Here in Brazil the A34 was about R$1400 (approximately 280 USD) and I managed to find a brand-new s20 fe 5g for R$1300 (approximately 260 USD) due to a pricing error on an online store. In a Brazilian average life cost context, I'd say that for processing power, S20 fe 5g is definetely my choice. I've been using a Moto g7 play and it seems there is no problem with the lack of software updates from my end. So it probably wont be any big deal (though I've heard Samsung tried to kill the phone with an update due to it's popularity overshadowing flagships in here).

I wouldn't buy S20 now as it's with old technology. You can find at the same price better phones and more updated. I also have S20 and very happy! Fast as in the first day. Hope to buy S27 (total 7 years with my S2O) . Saving money + huge jump! I dont feel a lot has changed since S20

Still using my S20 in 2024, great phone. Very cheap on marketplaces, like 100$, yet still powerful with great camera. Somehow video quality is almost same to S24 one. S24 sucks in video, and that's an 2024 flagship...

Do not buy the exynos soc phones at all..
    Exynos have terrible battery life
    Mediocre camera performance
And my biggest gripe easy short circuits in the ic department..
Used s20 snapdragon varient (still works)
Have just thrown away an s21 plus exynos varient (my ic was short circuited and phone seems to die anytime it feels like it)

But it's worth it compared to newer midrangers for instance. I managed to get myself used s20 fe, which is even better option, for 320 PLN (~$80). S21 fe is more expensive with the same camera setup and overheating SD 888 just because it's still updated. I don't think being on android 13 for 2 years is a big deal. Android 14 brought nothing special and 13 will run all the stuff for a long time. And after some time u can just get another phone or install a custom rom. I love people seeing big problem with no android update cause they get kinda pushed to sell their still good phones dirt cheap which I appreciate.
