Great to see some big fish action. Would love to see some videos that show how you rig your rods and how you are fishing for the fish rather than just showing fish being caught. Thanks for all you do.
Love your videos - you clearly are passionate about Tenkara fishing. Makes me want to pack up and head back out to the streams. Looking forward to more.
While it is fun to go out and get bigger fish, there is something purely peaceful about being alone on a tiny stream! Would be so hard to pick one over the other!
How difficult is it to land a fish yourself without having someone to scoop it up in a net? I would think trying to get the fish to you with 26 feet of extension including rod and line would be rather difficult.
It really all depends on the scenario. How big is the fish, how deep is the water, how fast is the water, how much line + tippet do you have, what rod are you using, and what strength of tippet do you have. If I were fishing by myself for big fish I would use the Rocky rod which can be fished at 14.5 ft. then I would also use a 10.5 ft line with 3-4 feet of tippet. This would ensure that the total length of line + tippet is shorter than the rod. So while I would have 26+ feet of extension, when I bring the rod up vertically the length of the rod turns that into a triangle and I can bring the fish right up to my feet. But having someone net the fish always reduces the time it takes to land the fish by quite a lot and is generally the easiest and quickest way to get a fish in.
Amazing fish. Could watch a whole Netflix series of ya'll fishing these videos are so entertaining.
Thanks for watching Erick! I don't know about Netflix we are just trying to have some fun and share the stoke!
This is every bit as rad as I'd hoped! Really shows how powerful The Rocky is!!
14.5 ft. of rod really showed its power for sure! Thanks for checking it out!
“So what did you do all weekend?” “I did laps with a net.” 😂😂
Good exercise for us aging anglers.

Great feedback! We are going to be doing some more in depth videos showing that kind of stuff so stay tuned.
Thanks for the Rod boys … best summer fish ever and man was it needed.
Good to hear!
Great video guys! My son and I can’t get enough.
Glad you liked it!
Hope to fish with these guys when day!! Thank you for all the great videos and bringing tenkara alive!!
For sure! That would be so fun!
I love these videos! By far my favorite tenkara videos online, thanks!
So glad you like them! We put a lot of effort into the videos to show all of the real world uses of Tenkara rods. Thanks for watching!
Super awesome time guys good job!!!👍👏👏👏
So fun!

We love it! Its so fun. Glad you enjoyed the vid.
That fish at 4:55 was a female sockeye, fellas. I am pretty sure one go you got an IGFA slam.
Ya it was! Caught a few by accident.
Hell yes!!! Looks like an epic trip!!!
Thanks for checking it out!
Well this put me over the edge on picking up a rocky. Guess it is necessary here in Seattle. Hitting the Skagit as soon as it is here!
Definitely not your everyday rod but for chasing bigger fish its hard to beat!
You guys were killing it!
Definitely having a good time!
Bought the Teton Zoom a year ago...still haven't caught anything yet...but glad to see that it can catch some decent size salmon!!
Ya it absolutely can handle the bigger fish but is also still really fun on smaller fish! Hopefully you can get out and catch some fish soon!
Awesome! Always wondered how a tenkara rod would handle salmon.
Ya honestly most of our rods will handle a salmon but the big Rocky actually works really really well!
Sweet action. I’m over here fishing my Yari in tiny CT streams. Someday a trip like this before I die. lol. Keep up the fun videos dudes!

Loved the video. I currently have a Teton, but hoping to get the Rocky for a trip to Wisconsin for steelhead and salmon this fall.
That sounds like a dream trip. Good luck!
