There is a road near Mt Rushmore that goes through a Buffalo reserve. It is called Iron Mountain Road. Tunnels are small, so you CANNOT take large vehicles. It provides both buffalos AND the best view of Mt Rushmore.
We always ate President butter on French bread when we'd visit our French grandparents and thought it was so good. At the time, we couldn't find President butter here in the States, but now you can. I love it.
Baked potato soup is really quite tasty, and it’s especially hearty and warm warming when the weather turns cooler. Though I will say that the tomato and red pepper soup looked mighty good as well.
Have you ever been to Dollywood and the great spookiest mountains. You would love it. The mountains are breathtaking.
Hi nik & Leah wow you got my favourite butter . They sell it on Ocado on line they do it in a bigger tub also. Little tip speed it on the lid of it ❤. Lovely blogs thank you
There is so much fun stuff like zip lining at the Kualoa ranch. The movie set tour will be right up your alley. I have been lucky enough to visit 3 times and its always the best day

Canada in 2026 would be great. An RV is the perfect way to see the country. We’ve lived here for over 40 years. So much to see. 🇨🇦😊🚐

Sounds like a great trip! We did LA May 2023 with 6 nights in Hawaii, we did 3 nights in the Embassy suite ok Kapolei on Oahu to do sure seating and then 3 nights at the Aulani to just enjoy the resort. The Embassy suites had an awesome breakfast - lots of choices and a happy hour in an evening with free alcoholic and soft drinks and snacks.
We did Waimea falls, sharks cover beach, secret beach, the movie tour like you’re planning to do, pearl harbour, Matsumoto shave ice. It is just a beautiful Island!!
Add a squeeze of lime to your tomato soup just before serving. It's yummy !

When we first went to Discovery Cove around 2009 you got 2 weeks entrance to Sea World and Busch Gardens with free transportation
When you're in Los Angeles, King's Hawaiian has a restaurant in Torrance (a city that borders Los Angeles to the south).

Check out flying the nest - they have done travelling in the us by van. They are a couple from Australia
I did the Rocky Mountaineer across Canada then a cruise around Alaska solo earlier this year. It was AMAZING x
Try RoadBear. We used them twice…once picking up just south of San Fran. The vehicles were very well maintained.
North of Chicago is beautiful Door County Wisconsin, the Cape Cod of the Midwest!

Hopefully you will be in Florida first week of October as we go on the 1st for 10 days
We will be doing the seaworld/discovery cove deal next week - if thats when you are there we hope to run into you! We jumped at the deal at the beginning of the year - for Americans it was $190 with tax - so cheap we splurged for a covered chair at Discovery Cove.

Jackson Hole is magnificent. We went to a "hoedown" called Bar T5 Covered Wagon Cookout and Show, and starts with a Covered Wagon race out from town to the cookout (watch out for Indians). Just beware, the "show" is at times interactive so you may find yourself on stage.
There is a gravity hill in Scotland near Ayr called Electric Brae we used to love going there as kids

Love Presidente butter.I buy it from Publix.Not a real fan of Hawaiian Rolls.I am bringing oven bottom muffins back from Filey and lots of chocolate and tea bags..Bought 2 tubs of Heroes using my brother’s Tescocard for £4.50 each.Catching up on your European van trip,no wonder you are planning another,looked amazing.

Get a soup maker way easier and quicker save loads of time. Bung it all in and a veg stock cube and water 20-25 minutes all done no faffing ready to eat usually get 4/5 portions.

Mt Rushmore is a bust. Make sure that you visit the Crazy Horse Memorial (instead). It's BIGGER, more interesting, and far less of an in-your-face American tourist trap.
