Generally my projects are for my grandchildren to enjoy. OK, I enjoy them too. If anybody else likes them, that is a bonus. I like to keep my work as simple and basic as possible so that it can be copied easily and improved by anybody who wants to try themselves. I recycle or repurpose items rather than buy new and when I do buy I like to keep it cheap.

I have a Contour 500E, your videos helped me. Mind you, taking the head (or "spool holder") off involved for me getting rid of the plastic cap of the nut, and unscrewing nut-side with a wrench. It was un-unscrewable just by blocking with a screw-driver on the other side. All of this because effing spool cap broke and they don't have a dealership where I live.

YoutTube keeps losing my replies. I am certain I replied to your comment earlier today and it is not here now, so I am sorry if this is a repeat. Glad the video helped, I have a habit of taking things apart just to see what is inside 😁

+random person you can make a propeller out of most plastic items as long as you can put the right twist into them, however most plastics that you will find around the house will shatter in that sort of application. I would not use one myself as it will probably break within a few minutes of use.
