Thank you for narrating one of my silly scribblings. it took me a full WEEK to finish this, which is a stark contrast compared to most stories which take maybe only four or so hours.
Valtiel, if this is one of your "silly scribblings", I don't think I could stand a more serious missive! A beautiful story, particularly appropriate for Veterans Day. Thank you!
There are three deaths: the first is when the body ceases to function. The second is when the body is consigned to the grave. The third is that moment, sometime in the future, when your name is spoken for the last time. Excerpt from Sum - David Eagleman To be remembered is the only way a person could truly be Immortal. Excellent story, amazing read.
In 2070 if facebook is still around and used as today it will contain more dead people then living ones. How long our digital footprint will survive is anyone's guess. Sometimes i think it will last thousands of years.
@leightondoswell453 It's not the destination that makes me cry. It is the journey it is the hardships in between. The beautiful sunset Against the freezing cold of the moon That makes me cry., it is the crashing waves in the storm against the calm sea that makes me cry. It isn't the peace between countries. It's the war that happened before that makes me cry. Lest we forget the moments between beauty. Lest we forget the moment we cry. For when we reach the end of the road, we will smile With joy, as we look toward left and right at the Friends we've made along the way. And as we look back to those, we may have lost. Lest we forget.
Ouch! Almost brought tears to my eyes. Made me remember all my brothers and sisters in arms that I have lost. Awesome story and an excellent reading by Agro (of course.) Thank you for this story.
My own contribution to the fallen - Marines can write poetry - but we eat the crayon when done. Only those who have had the courage to insure the freedom of strangers can truly comprehend its meaning and appreciate its value Honor always, those willing to sacrifice their tomorrows for your today

That was beautiful. And amazing. Respect for the dead is something most civilized species will understand. And here something that led to a new friendship among the living. Kudos to the author and the noble Narrator.
It's a rainy day here. Then this story. The feels, those damn feels. The tears come out. I didn't know that I needed to release something. Agro no more please, no more. I simply can't take it.

an awesome story that brought a tear to my eye. Here is a like and comment for entertaining me and to help your channel grow and get you the recognition you deserve.
I dozed off listening to another story, I woke up with tears in my eyes to this one, I was sad but also at peace. Some of the stories really hit me but this one effected me deeply. I wish we all could learn from this..with everything going on now my heart breaks for every life lost to the conflicts we are seeing it does not matter what side what beliefs each life lost is something that can never be replaced.
Wow, that was a good story. It had my wife and I entranced. I like how the guy offered friendship when that’s all the humans ever wanted and then they got invited to meet the federation. I can’t believe how good these stories are.
fan of ASN and all the authors he reads. FarmWhich4275 is one of my favorites. a very consistant writer. thanks for the effort everyone puts into this.🌎
Depression? NO! It should bring sadness and hope! We stand because others have fallen. They took our place to give us a chance to be BETTER! We do not stand in deep valley, but walk an ever winding path upwards towards the light of ALL! Yes, we still feel the sadness, but also can feel their sacrifice lifting us upwards and onwards! To Sgt. Big K, Spc. Foggy, Spc. Slick Willie, Spc Thomas and all the rest! Be seeing you all soon! (I'm an old man now. lol)
