Gday Sandi, I feel like you need coloured pencils without the barrel. You weld pencils so well. But the way you talk of struggling with them makes me think you haven’t found the right tool for you. I have found I love the polychromos colour blocks. And I like to add alcohol marker over the top to help blend the pencil in. Cheers, Jess

Hi, l really liked you sketchbook ideas. I loved the one with the house scenery, with the red roof, blue front and white side. You gave me ideas in trying to be lose. I'll give it a go and see what comes out... LOL. You do great scenerys and still life. So fun!! I loved the last one with all the boats and the buildings in the back ground with all the different media's. Thanks again.

Loved the blabbity blabbity tour of your sketchbook. I recently got a Fabriano book and Inktense Blocks. That paper holds up well to the blocks, so much fun!

So much to love with each sketch, because they're all so "you". I would just love to have you over for some tea, coffee and whatever snack, and talk sketchbooks, etc. Of course I would have to give you some form of payment for your time, since I am a newbie and you are pro, but oh how fun it would be! You could say "just get in there and do it!"
The red works, it really does. Nice to see your blue notebook, and all the things you have explored in it. I have looked at it several times, it seems a great notebook to do all sorts of work, different mediums etc. ! I like how you have used the double spread for so many things, I have been using ring bound and they are not great for that. Always a treat to see your work. Thanks.

My favorite was the watercolor of the babbling brook - the more finished one. I love how it captured the moving (babbling) water. I could almost hear it in the sketch👂🤓

Not only is your artistry delightful (love your choice of colors) but also you’re delightfully fun to watch. What translucent paper do you use to prevent paint from smearing to the opposite page? I use parchment. Is there a better choice?
What is the paper you use in between to protect the pages? Just silk paper or kitchen paper of some sorts? Or some special paper? UA-cam suggested your video to me and I hadn't even heard of you before. I love how your sketchbooks look more like actual sketches (and more like my sketchbooks where my aim is just to fill a page) when on instagram it seems everyone has so detailed jaw dropping works on display. I have been wanting to see more videos like yours! Thank you!
I mainly use glassine paper but if I don’t have any on hand I use wax paper or even just stick a regular piece of paper in between the pages. Thank you! So glad you’re enjoying the videos and work!

Yes - a day off from working (editing, filming, emails, packaging and shipping paintings, etc - just a fay to do fun painting with no other work

Not only is your artistry delightful (love your choice of colors) but also you’re delightfully fun to watch. What translucent paper do you use to prevent paint from smearing to the opposite page? I use parchment. Is there a better choice?

What is the paper you use in between to protect the pages? Just silk paper or kitchen paper of some sorts? Or some special paper? UA-cam suggested your video to me and I hadn't even heard of you before. I love how your sketchbooks look more like actual sketches (and more like my sketchbooks where my aim is just to fill a page) when on instagram it seems everyone has so detailed jaw dropping works on display. I have been wanting to see more videos like yours! Thank you!
I mainly use glassine paper but if I don’t have any on hand I use wax paper or even just stick a regular piece of paper in between the pages. Thank you! So glad you’re enjoying the videos and work!
