I got the exact jacket, had to go to a 4xl,every other jacket I have is a2xl, Alpinestars sizing is way off.definitely try on in store before buying even if ordering online, but it is my most comfortable setup other then the Velcro sleeve ends it’s perfect
My own fault, it's so handy to order online...but the more important or expensive the gear; the more worth it is to give it a personal try-on my humble opinion. And (agin my humble opinion) sizes are all over for different gear. European and American can be quite different fitting even is labeled with the same size!
The sizing on some of these jackets are wildly varying and off. I'm typically a us Size XL but for example in a Belstaff I had to go to a 2XL, Merlin 3XL and Alpinestars I'd assume I'd be a 4xl.
Yeah, it seems the US sizes are typically more generous and other areas of the world not so. I'd say sizing from Asia is typically smallest of all, followed by Europe, and then the good ol USA. But even here sizes can be just different enough between brands to cause troubles...particularly for important and/or expensive gear. Thanks for weighing in on the subject sir.
I’ve been researching this sizing question online and didn’t find much useful until you posted this recently. Much appreciated.
Thanks for the comment! It makes me feel very good to think that I have helped others in this complex and expensive decision. Best wishes!
thanks for info, I am also thinking on sizing up, as I feel constraint in L size when tech-air 5 is in.
You should! As long as you have the compatible jacket it will probably better to size up.
