I prefer a vintage, collected, look, less matching and symmetry. BUT I can definitely appreciate the beauty even if it’s not my personal style. I’ve been loving these tours. Very inspirational. Something similar to the tissue vase at 8:40 can be found in antique shops. I’ve seen quite a few of them in my life.
I agree- especially with what Valentina said "sometimes it almost feels too uniform to me..." Very much so. It's very pretty, but or whatever reason, these spaces remind me of conference rooms, lobbies, hotels rooms, etc.
These are showrooms, tho. Not meant to be a finished home look.
@@janicetribbiani7535 true! what I meant though, was that, imo, a room can be just as beautiful without having to use all "new" items.
Valentina, thank you to you and Jack for showing us this beautiful showroom of furniture. This is something most of us would never get to see otherwise. It is a wonderful way to get decorating ideas ❤️
Good Morning; !!! Got my drink. On my porch. Day off . Enjoying house of Valentina. So happy.
Good morning!
I hope you come out with a coffee table book one day
Make it massive 💗🙏
I found you recently and am loving all the content! Our styles don't exactly match, but I have learned so much from your videos. I love how sophisticated and curated your home is!
Easy for me .. no statues of anyone ..
Thank heavens for an upgrade in home furnishings and decor. Now let’s be different, accumulate what you love, and keep it forever. So exhausted from all the changes and marketing push! Be an individual!
I don't understand?
Loved all the rooms but they look more like living in a high end hotel than in a home a family would live in
Having worked for a number of years in art galleries I collected quick a few pieces which I think finishes a room. I also bought a large antique-looking horse sculpture from an architectural design store that has gone across country with me and is one of my "must have" pieces. And it only cost $80!
I love how they displayed some of their art stacked up the wall. Velvet is one of my favourite materials, never use it though because I have dogs lol.
I LOVE the video and getting inspiration from RH. If you are a minimalist, it is perfect! If you are more like me, you can add throw blankets, some baskets (for added texture and storage), candles and flowers or fresh greenery to your spaces. But RH shows you how to create your timeless, neutral "base," and you can add items to suit your style as you wish.
I am finding RH style too much like hotels and commercial spaces. The rooms seem impersonal and cold. Even though the furniture is really nice, the accessories and art seem very generic considering their price points.
I just love this tour thru RH. Such a sophisticated feel. I was just wondering if you are going to start doing videos with tips on more traditional decor and maybe a smattering of French country (no farmhouse, of course) It would so helpful for those of us in homes or with decorating preferences that aren’t quite sooo contemporary or modern. Thanks in advance! 🙂
OMG, thank you so very much for sharing the new RH store in San Francisco! I live in Honolulu and we don't have many furniture stores here, so this is such a treat to see this luxury home decor store at it's best! Thank you, thank you, Valentina!
Thank you so much for the content!!!! You made me fall in love with redecorating my home all over again. I’ve enjoyed all the little moments I’ve been having with my husband and children decorating and really appreciating what we have. Thank you!!!
Who plays the asymmetric card? I like things that are a little off.
There's a time and place for everything.
Its the sheer scale of RH and the quality of the finishes really shows through compared to other stores. Loving the "walk through" followed by "talk through". Cannot stop watching this video. You really are my fave online designer, Valentina!
Thank you for pointing out how the RH beds are dressed! I’m tackling the bedroom next and really appreciate all the hints! I really look forward to your videos, especially Fridays.
I wish you could show some of your finished work from your design business ! My great room has a wonky overhang ceiling and I’m always looking for ways to draw attention away from it.
I really appreciate all the work that goes into producing all these wonderful vlogs. The RH showroom is filled with so many wonderful decorating ideas! It was great to see the view out of one of the windows; I was born across the bay in Vallejo, California and it was nice to see a peak of the city again. San Francisco is such a great city, fun to visit, and you were lucky to have such a nice day. I am a symmetrical kind of decorator, so the showrooms really appealed to me. I might try editing some places in my home and using big planters with moss or a statue. Recently, I purchased two travertine candlesticks, like yours, so I am moving in the right direction. Have a great weekend.
The tour was fabulous!!! Just fab!
Yay!! Looking forward to watching this! Happy Friday 🙂❤
Hope you enjoyed it!
Your content is wonderful. I hope discussions are eventually had about knowing when and how much wall interest to add to furnished spaces. Curating art and blending it with personal photos is tricky business.
Such beautiful spaces, thank you for sharing! I really like the look of the concrete floors with area rugs. Like the seamlessness and reflection of light.
Thanks for teaching us from a professional’s point of view. So enjoyed this video.
Thank you for this video! I was so surprised by all of the Greek and Roman sculpture influences. Just gorgeous! 😊
Beautiful show room 😍. Too bad I don't have ceilings that high!!!! Or rooms that large, I loved the colour palette, very soothing and calming. The rooftop terrace was amazing 😍
I got to tell ya, I'm looking forward to the sculpture ideas. I recently ordered one and it will be interesting to see if you mention something like it... We are barely into fall, and I'm already looking forward to putting this piece out in January for a refresh. 😀 A sculptural piece is a great idea when one doesn't want neither another vase nor candle. 🍁
I’m going to school for interior architecture and I learn so much from your channel, so thank you!
Burled wood is the bomb!
Loved seeing the whole RH studio this time. 😍
I enjoyed this so much! I am starting to learn that investing in good pieces is better long term. I love the contrast of the light color and the dark charcoal
Thank you so much for making RH accessible to those of us who aren’t in the US 😊 xx
Imagine being Louie wondering WHAT is going on with mom … with all that talking to ….. nobody. 😂
Love the show. Love the new (closet) channel. Love the love for what you do! Love Louie. 😊
I'm actually more of an Athena Calderone (Eye Swoon) fan but nonetheless I enjoy your take on design as well. 👍🏼
They also have phenomenal sight lines. Could you do a video on creating luxurious-looking sight lines?
I have a sink in my bedroom. It was a trend in 70s construction.
RH show rooms are beautiful and classic. They scale their displays to suit the space. As a designer myself this show class.
Having the rugs cover all the furniture makes total sense. A room, l feel doesn't look complete when using smaller rugs.
I look forward to the next video. 😀
I love that 🐶Louis also match his surroundings with his sweater😂
Thank you, as always, Valentina! Great video!!
Hey Lady show us your bookcases🐘🐘🐘
This was therapeutic.. thanks doll!
Thank you Valentina
Thank you Valentina! Look forward to the video of the new cabinets! Actually, can't wait! Hope it is soon.
I love Louie's sweater. Very chic.
I am absolutely loving velvet this fall
Aww Louie, he looks so cute in his sweater ❤
Hi Valentina! I’m so glad I found your channel because our styles are so similar! I have a friend who is moving into her first house soon and I’d love to gather some house warming gifts (mainly decor) that would help her make her house feel like home. She’s a black and white enthusiast like me and I’m finding too much farmhouse decor right now. Thanks!
Yay happy Friday!
You guys are my favorite couple and UA-cam Instagram etc, thank you for this video this ideas are amazing I love everything I wish to decorate my house just like that bus is so difficult with 5 kids sometimes, 💖 thank you Valentina so excited for the next video.
This was helpful and inspiring! Loved it .... But also how about that book collection video 🙏🙏🙏🙏 loved RH massive books!💗
I wonder if they show matching bedroom furniture because ultimately RH is a retailer selling bedroom furniture sets. Or am I being cynical...
Oh it’s all marketing. We get told what is in style and what we should be buying to have a beautiful home.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful videos.
Louie's sweater is adorable, Valentina. 😍
The showrooms were beautiful and thank you for taking us through them with you. I am wondering if the chandeliers are placed lower for prospective buyers to see them a little closer. And, of course, if too high, not to miss seeing them at all.
Watch for the poop! and where you step 🤣
Oh I didn’t realize how big that RH is. I’m an hour away and planning a weekend to go. Thank you for the tour ! I loved it 😍
My tip would be, if you want to incorporate something from another culture, do your research first and understand what it might mean symbolically or to someone else's religion. For example you see Buddha heads everywhere but that is very disrespectful in the eyes of Buddhists. Statues of Buddha should have the whole body and not be placed on the floor.
Agree to a point but where do you start.? Symbols everywhere and crosses used in so many designs you'd always upset someone... Same with clothes . kimonos for example ....think people must stop being so sensitive.
@@moiramarriott4403 it's really off putting to tell other people how to feel. Yes you have to use some judgment, but it's entitled to think you can use any symbol you want in a disrespectful way. If you're aiming to disrespect a religious symbol for personal reasons sure I get it, you do you. But it only takes a moment to Google the history of a piece of art before you buy it. Trying to control other people's reactions isn't the way though.
@@superfacch
Thanks for the reminder to actually research the meaning of ethnic/religious art & symbols. I don’t think people are too sensitive. I think people with high EQ/IQ desire to learn more about the tasteful & respectful ways to display the art/symbols. Why wouldn’t you want to learn the origins/meanings to be sure they align with who you are and what you believe? How horrible would it be to proudly display only to offend others bc you never bothered to truly understand? 🤔
@ Sarah Facci - Do you make judgements or do you analyze information? Feeling something is not productive and not based on logic and critical thinking.
I try not to use religious symbols or, as you say, do my research. I have a “singing bowl” and a book discussing the history & meaning of them. Also found an old Japanese bento box, the the size of a bucket that makes a really interesting, unusual point of interest!
Absolutely loved the tour.
My tip is buy something that makes your heart sing loudly
I don't care what RH says ..I despise matching furniture!!! Lol
With all they symmetry, I noticed they bring in contrast by using organic patterns in the rugs.
Love all your ideas and tips!!!!
I really like ZARA HOME collection. Reasonable priced throws, pillows 😊
You both look adorable, I just realized that the two of you on the chair are Louis V. 🥰 have a beautiful weekend!
Valentina, I’d love to see a video on how to style a bed like a professional, they always look beautiful or if you’ve done a video on this, could you please link it, just the way the bed linen is folded back and layered looks lovely. Thank You for sharing your knowledge here, you’ve been a tremendous help to me in styling up my home. Cheers from Queensland Australia 🇦🇺 ❤❤
Just got the RH throw that you have, yes a splurge but it’s so nice!
These tips were so helpful, i really enjoyed this video thank you for sharing this Valentina.
I love it all!! Great ideas.
Thanks for sharing, I love the tips! You’re my special designer. By the way, big shout out to Jack.
Love this video! Thanks for taking us on your adventures.
Thanks for the Fabulous SF RH Tour! Loved it all!
Hey everyone! Hit like if you want a
House of Valentina book collection video 🙏
Love, lOve, LOVE this video! Thank you so much!
Loved the tour!👍🏽❤️🙏🏽❤️🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
I did notice the concrete floors! Great video!
what color do you think they have on their walls? they are stunning and go with all the styles
Thanks for taking us with you to SF! 😁 It's very inspiring to see those gorgeous spaces! Do you know/can you guess what size the rugs are in the livingroom spaces? I really liked the layouts with the double-chaise sofas. But sadly I doubt we've got enough room for that layoutin our livingroom. I'm not sure of the room measurements, but the rug we have is 10x14 rug with maybe 12-18 or so inches of exposed hardwood around it. The ceiling is vaulted which I think fools me into thinking it's a larger space than it is... but anyway. Thanks again!
Love it all!! ❤
Another inspiring video as always. I have caught your book bug and must have at least 100! Just found a new one that you might not know. It’s “Unapologetically Chic” by Ryan Saghian. Beautiful oversized black book with black page edges! So chic. The inside imagery is stunning. Thought I’d share! Looking forward to your next video as always. They are always thought provoking.
Love it!!!!!!
Are white sofas really worth it? I am so sloppy with snacks and haves two year old granddaughter visiting. I am in the market for a sofa.
These looks are beautiful. However many of them just looks waaaay to pristine. For pics only. I dont know just my thought. Nice for browsing and getting ideas.
I love symmetry myself and I appreciate the work put into the spaces, but to me these rooms have a more museum feel. I don’t find them cozy or inviting. It looks very curated and I see no personality. Just my opinion.
Thank you to you and Louis for another great video. Although they're too overpriced, RH really knows how to bring on that WOW factor. I love your style in every way, and I must say that Louis looks very debonair in his sweater. 👌 Besides having you Valentina, Louis needs a four legged girlfriend to cuddle up with too! 😉😊
What I noticed about RH in this video besides all the low profile furniture and the symmetric displays going all the way up the wall in the living rooms, the light fixture hang lower than the displays almost fooling the eye to make the room feel higher.
Thank you so much Valentina for sharing all your wonderful ideas. Love the black unit! Where is it from?
Hi Valentina, Not to change the subject but I couldn’t help but notice how beautiful your eyes are at the beginning of the video. 😊
hi valentina your home is so beautiful, can you share where did you bought your black bookshelf on the back
What breed is your doggy? I just love him! ❤😊
Would love some direction on floor lamps and hiding cords. Until I build a place, there is no way to get in floor plugs and I'm genuinely worried about tripping/ripping the cord and the look. Thx!
I love RH but this is too much of a hotel vibe for me. Doesn't seem inviting at all.
Thank you for sharing
I adore restoration hardware due to the symmetrical design & placement however their prices & I aren't acquainted.
Hermoso y limpio! 🙌😍
I love the chair your sitting in! Where did you purchase?
Love this floor!!!
You are Amazing
I enjoyed ur videos ❤
Where can I find that diamond ♦️ rug at 8:16 ❤?
Hey. First one here
Yes you are!
surprised they don't have any or much chrome since thats coming into trend
I was hoping you listed the floor to ceiling curtains, ugg
Intentionally have made my life non symmetrical. Had 3 kids instead of 2 or 4. Have 3 dogs instead of 2, same with the cats. I like to decorate in 3's. For me things have to be as 1, 3, or 5. Actually a few people have pointed that out about me and it erks me if certain things are symmetrical. Of course there are some things that look good and need to be symmetrical like framing a sofa or the distance between pictures etc. But that's just my opinion and you just have to decide what works best for you because some people love gallery walls with all sizes of ununiform pictures 🤷🏻♀️ [that would drive me up the wall!]
