When I used to say goodbye to anyone it would sound like this: "Time for me to mash my gas, do it to it like Pruitt used to do it, so be good and kind to your neighbor and I will catch you later". All of this for saying goodbye. lol

Yep that sounds good I had a little saying with my cb handle
They call me steel behind the wheel
With my foot to the floor won't do no more
      My chin in the wind
      My knees in the breeze
      My hair in the air
Sitting on my stool looking ever so cool
Tapping my feet the that motown beat
My tires are spinning and the women are grinning
Walking my dog kicking my car
Running up and down these roads is where it's all at
      10 dash number 4
Said that as fast as I could to
      All in one breath

In the 70's and 80's the Hammer lane was commonly known as the "Monfort" lane.

My favorite CB conversation while driving on I-25 was a trucker talking about a lot lizard to another trucker. He commented that his favorite encounter was this lot lizard who could suck a bowling ball through a garden hose. Talent that deserves to be remembered.

White crosses, black beauties, high speed chicken feed, west coast turnarounds.
The old man always called reefers maggot wagons.
Monfort lane or hammer lane and the other was the bumper lane for the slower traffic.
Both sticks up toward the dash was “goin home gear”
Take care and until next week, I’ll be 10-10 on the side.

Never heard of big slab,we called it the Super Slab, or Blvd, 65 Street. If you were going to run the Monfort lane, you’d say I’m going to throw it the dash then drop in the big hole and gouge on it!!! And you were always LOOKING COOL ON YOUR STOOL while doing it. So keep the shiny up, and the dirty side down, and keep it between the ditches, and we’ll catch you on the flip. WOOP WOOP CLUCK CLUCK

Too bad the CB is hardly used anymore, and half that use it only curse out another driver. Id bet more than half don't even have a radio in their truck. Foreigners killed American trucking
