The first time I was in Las Vegas, I was thinking how pretty building were, then these 2 little kids ran by with no shoes, torn dirty cloths, dirty little faces. No adults even with them. That kinda opened my eyes to the poor side of Vegas. My whole trip was affected by that. I didn’t enjoy it as much after that. So much money, So many vagrants. Just kind of made me sad.
Yes, the buildings bear no relation to the risks of living in these Hoods. That's what many people fail to understand...Hoods are usually much lore dangerous than ghettos, precisely because the residents have SOME money to purchase things like guns, if they wish. Usually the Ghetto residents are unable to purchase even a cheap firearm.
Vegas is just like most places has its nice parts but tbh there’s allot of poverty here I hate it here, summerlin, enterprise, Henderson are mainly the “wealthy” areas, the strip has allot of lights but there’s so much homeless and right next to the strip and the outside of it, it’s very sketchy
The west is different than the east. Most east coast hoods are run down. In the west? Half the hoods have newer apartments that are in good repair but get active.
Rosie, my family and I became homeless on Jan 2022. We live in Norcal. Anyway, we camped for 2 weeks at two different reservoirs in our area. My 3 boys left messes like you wouldn’t believe outside our trailer and the sheriff would have to come over and tell us to clean up. It was embarrassing to live like that. Anyway, to make a long story short, hubby was severely injured on 6/24/22 and after that me and my kids had to pull ourselves up by our boot strings and we are now living in a house. Hubby is still in the hospital however.
Thank you for the video and information. One thing that would help would be to add a brief photo of an aerial view from Google maps of each general area you visited to help increase the viewers knowledge even more. Thank you again!
I was actually homeless in Vegas for a few years. The heat is crazy and the amount of stuff the homeless find in the garbage and carry around is like no other city i seen.
Lorenzi Park on W. Washington Ave was a beautiful, safe park with a very nice rose garden (now locked) 7 years ago. It has become a day time hangout for the homeless. People wash themselves in the kiddie splash pad and water fountains. I used to walk my dogs there daily. I miss going there. Last time I tried to walk my dog a man washing himself in public and his loose pit bull scared me away. 😢
You should’ve went through there about nine or 10 o’clock at night then you’d see what comes out of the woodwork. I traveled different places for work time and time again around the United States. I’ve been all over Philadelphia Stockton, California. I learn to go out at night before you rent a motel or a place to make sure you know what’s going on at night, believe me they come out of the woodwork at night dead
It's always been that way in every major city the street thugs sleep allday and flood the streets at night like roaches. I would never move somewhere either without checking it out late at night
I grew up in spring valley. It’s relatively cheap, super diverse. There’s a a couple different zip codes in spring valley, each one’s a little different, most of it is pretty safe tho. I’d say overall it’s way better than most other parts of Vegas. You planning on moving to Vegas?
Improve your videos: you really need to put a readable map in the corner of the video so we can watch your movements on the map and see where you are driving. It would help your viewers to understand what and where you are talking about.
That was 11 months ago and it was not random. Not sure if you listened to Rosie's video but it wasn't a bad thing. I replied to Rosie when she mentioned the high crime rate. I loved Camden it was basically my second home. So I am sorry if you might of took it the wrong way @@theone8173
Thank you for sharing the part of Vegas that I didn't get the chance to see as a tourist, although we did drive through a bit of a sketchy area when driving from Henderson up to the Fremont Street area and downtown
Jerry's Nugget might be the furthest west you went but it isn't on the West side of Vegas. Ambulances and fire trucks sound like there was probably a car accident somewhere in the area. Even the worst areas in Vegas are generally safe for anyone in a vehicle to drive through day or night just don't loiter or get an attitude with people. I really am generally positive in my comments but there was A LOT of fluff and drama to this.
There are actually a few million dollar homes not too far from the first neighborhood that was shown. Off Hollywood Blvd, there's a $4 million dollar property (perhaps the most expensive on the east side). Those owners aren't concerned about these "hoods" otherwise they wouldn't have made the purchase.
Probably not lol. This video is trying to instill fear in people. My point was that the owners of the expensive properties nearby didn't let irrational fears keep them from making their purchase.
My husband is from Las Vegas. We'll more so the Henderson area of the city. He says the whole city isn't bad but yes there's defiantly bad parts of the city to avoid.
It beats the winter and having to deal with random, inclement weather. 300 or so days of sunshine. Only bad part is 117 degree heat in the summer. That still beats snow and humidity lol
HOW DARE YOU create a video with some many false claims. First off you’re driving around in NORTH Las Vegas not Las Vegas ( 2 separate cities). What are the stats for crime in that area? Just driving around looking at mattress and couches on the curb doesn’t mean it’s a dangerous neighborhood. Third the cemetery (bunkers) is not closed.
Jerry’s nugget is nowhere near west Las Vegas… maybe 60 years ago. It’s actually more on the east side than the west side now. Don’t know why they still call it west Las Vegas..
You have to know some history. It's just west of downtown when LV was much smaller. Back then there was no west side. You're talking like Summerlin has always existed. It's just west of the strip ie west las vegas and the name stuck

Oh yeah Lived in Vegas 12yrs KAREN/MARYLAND- HENDERSON WHITNEY RANCH
Very sad to see people living like animals in the streets and to see all of those poor stray cats. That always gets to me. 😞
Thanks for sharing this with us, Rosie ❤
IMO Craig/nellis boulder/flamingo /Pecos/Carey, North Town etc are pretty rough Naked city has calm down a lot
Twain and university center
Yes. That was even bad 25 years ago
naked city.....you talking about the area where "the strat" (strathosphere) is at?

Oh the sunshine does not make that area look any better that is for sure. I gasped when I saw the first tore up GMC RV.
I'm just glad I didn't get a flat tire driving through that crap 😵🤘😃

Made me miss Las Vegas. Im from North Las Vegas ❤
The crazy thing I noticed in vegas is that what look like luxury apts in a place like L.A county could be a place where a gang is in las las vegas.
Thanks for the video.
How would you say the Spring Valley area is?
House or apartment? It's a reasonably safe area. Nuisance/property crime, and
occasional shootings like the majority of the city it's not too bad

You bet Mark xx
Such a sad site Rosie.
Costs nothing to be clean and tidy. But you get some people a home and they just trash it. We see it all the time.
No pride of ownership. Or possibly, no pride at all. Or maybe it's because they don't own it because the govt pays for it
Lived over a year in Vegas... Nice memories but damn.. half the city looks like this.. if you cant handle yourself dont go out at night
Its fine at night. Just dont act a fool or wander into one way in, one way out apartment complexes.
Boy what are eye opener thanks for sharing a Rosie another good video

Its true. S Hollywood has a ton of expensive houses by the mountains a few blocks from some hoods.
HI ROSIE 🌹👋
There's a translate to English on ur comment 😆😆😆
Damn start it off with the eastside haha nice I believe they call these apartments the browns or used to at least

Hi Rosie 😍🥀
So was there a point to this video?
A point to others but I guess not you.
That’s the dangerous places in Vegas
Instead of talking about people and talking down on people, why won’t you help the community?
I did today...raised 13k
Booooyyy🤣🤣🤣🤣
