I'm seeing a lot of people confused on how snake wasn't spotted. So how the game works when you play as snake is you can use your octo camo to blend into the environment represented by the camo index in the top right. Think of this as more of a reverse opacity. At 99% camo index he is nearly invisible.
@@st4r444 low opacity image of Snake. Think of taking a photo and dropping the opacity to about 12-25% of someone in camo and then dropping them in an environment
I'd like to point out that doesn't work on shadows, though. I was laughing my ass off when he just laid there out in the open towards the end, that would've been an easy kill had someone been there :D
@@Massacretalitor very true 👍 I remember when I played mgo and did the hide seek mode that it was easy to spot the invs players by shadows or to locate snake by his shadow so it was beneficial as snake to stay close to objects or prone to cover your shadow and as a hide to be smart as to where you were laying that you wouldn't have your shadow give you away
@@bigtoe_2543 A group called SaveMGO brought it back up, a while back. They have their own servers and such. It's not as many people as there used to be, but if you have a ps3 and a copy of the game, you can install a specific version and a game patch and can play it normally

Mgo (mgs4) was the greatest. The game, the community ect is forever unmatched.
The community? The game was really fun, but the community was trash
literally the worst community that has ever existed

tbh more games having asymmetric modes like this would be cool. two teams fighting each other while a third party is doing their own thing
Lore accurate Solid Snake
Woah didn't even know that multiplayer mode existed.
Never jailbreak your consoles bois, see what I missed?
You can play this game on either a jailbroken PS3, vanilla PS3 or a PC.
You know the funniest part about this, the only way to play MGO2 on PS3 now is to mod it.
I've always wanted to play mgs4 and mgo 2!
