I really get the sense that AG went back to their roots with this doll! The quality seems to be on par with the original 3 dolls!!! I would have liked to see a coin and a pencil with her accessory set. (The coin was an original accessory option.) I'm glad she is not a Makena mold. I'm glad she has her own unique face mold!!!
Yeah I agree;; also I love how her book is titled “meet claudie: an American girl”, just like the originals!! They’re definitely going back to their roots. I love her so much!
She’s definitely a collectors’ doll

I would really love if you could do a video on how to care for her hair! I’m only 12, but I feel like I’m mature enough to get her and take care of her hair. I’m a visual learner, so a video would be really great!
Can’t wait for the video on how to take care of her curls! I want to put up her hair immediately until my kids are older, but I don’t want to ruin her hair.
She’s gorgeous and the pajamas are like everything. The fancy outfits are pretty but I tend to dress my dolls more casual. I might get the flapper outfit.

Love her Meet outfit. Wish it was more distinctly plaid than striped, but love the cardigan (and also love that it's included and not just an accessory!) and love that the shoes are not plastic - yeah!! Also love that they used the decal eyes instead of the typical swirl brown eyes that they normally use. She needed some distinction with her eyes and that was just the thing. Great video! Thanks for sharing!

@@americangirldollcarlysdoll631 But the shades of blue and green are very different. And Claudie has such a wide range of colors through her whole collection that it all evens out. Melody has a wide range of colors too. Personally, I like the colors they chose for Claudie, but I understand that not everyone does.

Babygurl is flawless! Love the outfits and accessories. The gold outfit gives Beyonce vibes for sure! I am so happy with this new face mold. I am not a fan of the Makena mold so thank goodness they didn't just use that one. I actually like the painted on lashes.

Claudie is stunning. She literally has the same face mold as the AA cricket doll from the late 80’s made by playmates.
I purchased her and I am absolutely in love with her! The hair quality is very good and I love her face mold!

I’m impressed that you got a Claudie whose meet outfit had stripes that matched (from her Bodice to her skirt). If I end up getting her, I’ll have to hand pick her out just to get a good outfit as I really like her outfit.
I used to work as a visual merchandiser at the Atlanta AG store. Sadly it closed but I loved doing any launch. The doll is so cute!!! My daughter wants her and has waited her whole life for a 20s doll. I want that Baby Ruth bar. When you buy in the store, collectors were obsessed with checking the eyes. Anyway great video!!!
How often did you see collectors? I am one myself but I’m always scared of going to a real store because people can be mean lol

I do love her. My daughter's nana ordered her already for my daughter's birthday. I think AG opened early today because she was able to call in her order, the site was glitching, at 730CT this morning. I want her bakery but not sure where we'd put it. I love her scooter. My daughter wants everything. We are both disappointed she didn't get the hype like other dolls. Also that she didn't come with a promo item like the other dolls have.

I like how she comes with the sweater a bow! I was worried that american girl would cheap out on us again and make another low effort assory pack. I can't ever justify buying a american girl doll, but I still enjoy watching what these companies and creators are up to when I can

She seems to have a deeper skin tone in the promo pictures, which it’s sad because she would look amazing with the darker skin tone of the promo images.

No she doesn't. She's cute and girly and fun. The eyelashes are to me what gives her a slightly more realistic example of a little black girl in that time period with makeup on.
