How do you know where they are going ? What kind of home? You just take the money and send the dog? I have had a Springer and they are NOT for everyone. Do you make sure buyers know what they need?
Hello! You must be new to our channel. Welcome! I say you must be new because you asked if our families 'know what they need'. We've created many videos talking about our puppies and dogs. You'll also be able to see from our videos that all of our dogs and puppies are very well loved and cared for. Of course we know what kind of home they are going to. That's why we said to go to our webpage and fill in our application where we will follow up. Thanks for your concerns! Hope I was able to answer your questions.
Honest question, why do you crop their tails? I understand it might be necessary for working dogs, but it's completely pointless for pets. Springers feathered tails are beautiful.
Hello! Thanks for the question. Yes its certainly necessary for working dogs as their tail often can get damaged. Although it is also common for non working dogs to have their tails split. Once that happens it rarely heals because they are always wagging their tails. The breed has naturally thin tails. For us we dock the tails because it was and is the breed standard, most families want it done. We always give our families the option and leave it up to them to decide if they prefer to have the tail natural. Honestly though, it is an EXTREMELY simple procedure. The tails are done when they are 2 days of age and the tail is super thin and 100% cartilage. Again, I appreciate the question and hope that helps!
Hi Melissa. We do actually! They are not in this video though. Whereabouts are you from? Feel free to go to our webpage, it is www.osheaspringers.com and have a look at the puppies available. We have a contact us form there as well.
From their website: "IF YOU ARE FROM THE USA please note that you will need to travel to Strathroy Ontario to pick up a puppy. Delivery is NOT available. Please acknowledge that you are aware in your response below when contacting us."
Hi Jeanne. Thank you very much for your comment. Unfortunately we haven't been able to find a dependable way to send our pups to the US from Canada. We've had many that have made the trip, but you are a long drive! (We know because we went to NC on a vacation many years ago and made the drive). You could check out Heavensent Springers. They are in Tennessee. They have great puppies!
Hello! No, all of our dogs are a mixture but leaning more towards bench bred. Anytime you see a breeder with roan colouring in their lines you know there is European blood where they don't differentiate between field or bench.
Hi Brie! Thanks for watching our video and commenting. It certainly helps out our channel. To answer your question, we breed purebred dogs because if we didn't, we would only have mixed dogs and you would never have any variation in the world. Certainly you are right that there is a place for people to adopt and if that is right for people they absolutely should! There are many dogs and puppies in shelters that need homes. Unfortunately most of these dogs are mixed breeds. Most time by people that know nothing of what they're doing. We on the other hand are ethical breeders and have many many happy homes and families. At any point if one of our dogs or puppies can't stay at their home they can be returned to us. None of our dogs end up in shelters. Hopefully that clears up your questions. If not feel free to reply and I would be happy to answer them.

I have an almost 4 year old liver and white male named Luke. Do you send pups to North Carolina?

@@johndoria8418 wow. That would be difficult for me.

Is the puppy in the photo a "field bred" springer, as opposed to bench bred?

@@OSheaSpringers Thanks. The pup looks just like my last field bred springer. Their eyes often are yellowish, body mostly white, w/liver on the head.
Why breed, when shelter dogs are killed!!! Save a life and adopt!!!! There are no bad dogs! Only bad humans!!!
