It seems like it's really troublesome for miara goats abroad, in Indonesia🇮🇩 it's easier because there are only 2 dry rainy seasons.. Thank you for the video🙏🙏
Pens are cleaned out daily. The old bedding gets dumped into a manure bunker where it composts for 6-9 months. We haul it away to another farm about 2x a year. We plan on making a video on all that as soon as we are ready to get the manure bunker emptied out, which needs to happen soon. Burning it doesn’t really work, it just smolders for days.
Nice pens and set up. We are new to goats...bought 2 kiko nannies for some weed control, then a lady wanted out of goats and we got her two Nigerian Dwarf females...one nannie and her adult daughter...after that our SIL bought some property and the owner left his 3 goats - so we got a Spanish wether and two bucks Nigerian and Pygmy...so...we let the bucks in and now we have 4 pregnant goats...looking at mid to end of Feb. for kidding...nervous...the one daughter is a maiden. We found a ton of pallets for free and those will be used as sides - plywood goes along entire back and plywood on floors. Not sure on gates yet...we do plan to sell the babies as "pet" quality....will help on the feed bill here...trying to learn everything about kidding as possible. Think we have a good "kidding bag" for all that could be needed.
Hi, I love your videos! I think the way you take care of your goats is awesome. I have a question, how do you make a doe get used to get comfortable with a pen before kidding?
We are looking at going a live stream Saturday Night so watch for that.
Its almost kidding season for us too! Such a exciting time!

Enjoyed the tour, the barn looks nicely set up
Thank you for watching
I have been raising dairy goats for 20 plus years. I do like your stalls
Thank you
Could you give dimensions an how to build the stalls and doors
It’s been a long time but I think I have a video before this one of how I did them. And they are 4x6 pens
At what age or temp do you feel that the kids no longer need a heat lamp?
We only tune them on for around 24 hours unless it’s really cold or they are struggling

What do you do with you old bedding? Do you burn or let decompose?

How do you tell if your doe has toxemia, or what are the signs of it?
Leg swell up they dont eat they just want to lay around dont want to get up
How do you deal with toxemia issues.
We treat it with a treatment my wife got from another breeder been trying to get her to do a video on it
@@LetsTalkGoats please do one. I had one doe who died from it , can't another one. Does the treatment work??

Oh. Yes , they look close. We had 13 mamas last year. Like the creep pen Very nice set up.
Thank You glad you enjoyed
Hey one thing that helps keep ours from chewing on cords is taking an old worn out hose and wrap around it
Most of the time it’s our own fault
On the heat lamps I cut pvc pipe what the cord passed then the goats can't chew on them.
Like that
how do you know when there due?
We know when we put the buck in and we watch to see if we see the buck jump
When you let the does and kids together do they tend to hit each other’s kids (asking because I am new to breeding Boers)
Sometimes they might but not in a mean way
@@LetsTalkGoats thank you
Love to know how u made your creep feeder for your kids?

Are you talking about the small one on the wall.
Yes the wooden one
I can do that give me a little time.
Thank u
