You got your information wrong. The keyboard may have been released by Wei for kbdfans but the actual designer for the kbd8x is ai03 which severed ties with kbdfans after they took his 75 design to release something similar and not credit him.
Force break mod on the Keychron Q series boards is done to solve the case ping problem by adding a break between the two case halves. There's no reason to do it for this keyboard as the case does not have a ping problem. In fact, the gasket socks help isolate the two halves already. As mentioned in the video
