Hey dude, I just wanted to say: I produce music as a hobby and never learned anything from anyone, I just figured stuff out by trial and error and work in a veeeery simple way (therefore my sound is not too good 😂). I am really grateful for your content and the smooth and easy way you bring your knowledge across. It really helps me catch up with the very basics. Keep up the good work, you're doing a great job!! 👍
Another great video. I understand mixers more or less, I just bought a 10 track thomann mixer . I know low grade but for what i want its perfect. Thanks for clarifying a few thin gs. keep up the good work.
Your videos are very well detailed and explained. I usually go for your tutorials first before others. I tried all the existing tutorials , but can't get my Model 12 to work as an interface. Not sure what step i'm missing and i did watch the very few tutorials available on UA-cam, but i can't get a signal to my PC. I get the PC return signal, but can't get a signal from an input channel of Model 12 to my Studio One 6. I got the audio drivers downloaded, i got the Model 12 setup as audio interface. I got the 12 outs/10 ins setup in Studio One. It's different and more complicated to setup a multichannel mixer like this than a regular 2 in, 2 out interface. The configuration of the inputs and outputs don't seem to work and is confusing. Not sure if it needs other settings in Windows that regular 2 channel interface don't. Setting up Model 12 as an interface could be a future video idea.
Sorry to hear that you’re having trouble setting it up. This video shows the steps in Cubase, which should be similar to the Studio One setup: ua-cam.com/video/guuor7UfKe0/v-deo.htmlsi=_lLY8yjm9IYGOS3J
BRO I would love to watch a video from you detailing troubleshooting steps for audible hum. I have a client with an older system that can barely push volume up because the hum becomes too distracting
That’s a great suggestion, Jorell! I’ve been meaning to put together a video like that, but it’s such a case-by-case topic. I want to make sure it helps most people who watch it, so it’s taking awhile to do the research. Thanks again! Hopefully I’ll have something for you soon.
You should see a Soundcraft Europa; that's a BIG monkey with loads of features for an analog board! Also, I've never understood why it's called a "High Pass" on most equipment. It's naming the filter by what it doesn't do. I prefer "Low Cut", that's what it does! (Not that anyone cares what I think.) You've hit the hornet's nest now Kyle! Stepping into the features of consoles can be a very long and varying road. You're a good teacher so I'm sure you have a plan. Please mention Solo In Place, that one tiny feature has derailed my train more times than I care to admit...
Thank you so much dear.Your video is very helpful. But I need your guidance . Is it not also possible to connect and use Rode Wireless Go II or Wireless Pro through a mixer to an amplifier to use the system for addressing a gathering from a stage ,using the Rode wireless mic ,as a hands free mic ? Also please give me any other guidance or caution in this matter, if you have any ,because I am quite new to this . Thank you .God bless you.
Good question, Vincenzo! PFL = Pre-Fader Listen It is like the Solo button on my mixer. PFL allows you to monitor the signal before it reaches the channel fader.
I have the Model 12 and I get confused with the effects knob, There's zero to +15 but there's a whole side of the knob that is left of zero and goes to an infinity symbol. Where should the knob go if I jut want to add 10 - 15 percent reverb?
Hello. When I move my balance knob from left to right coming from a 0 setting moving to the left totally rises the volume and moving totally to the right it silence the signal. What can be happening ? I would have guess the sound would only change form one side to the other but not like this. Please help. Thank you
Hey i really love your effort thznks for that.Im playing guitar for 15years and i wanna start recording, i have one question, if i buy tascam model 12 whic has interface, do i need to buy a "real" audio interface or i can record everything with tascam and than transfer it to daw ? Is there any quality difference, thx in advance
The TASCAM is all you need! You can either use it as an interface to record directly into your DAW or record to a memory card and then transfer to your DAW.
@@AudioUniversity wow what good news, im looking for a place where i can learn more about this stuff, but in my city there is no school or anything, recently bought mpc live 2, next im planing to buy tascam and im rly confused about lot of things, do you offer some kinda private courses or somethibg like that cause i rly need to learn about this things

Thanks, Carlos! I’m making a video on compression right now! Stay tuned!

Thanks, Coby! I don't have access to a dbx Driverack, unfortunately. I would need one in order to create a video.

It sounds like the left output is feeding both of your speakers. Be sure to check your connections.
taskam 12 can it be used for live performances or if not what mixer do you recommend for a small band 2-3 people
One question, how to adjust sound in a auditorium where sound is bouncing back creating confusion while live performance?
I’d recommend refocusing your speakers and/or installing acoustic absorption.
Thanks for replying
Im using Tascam Dm 24 hahh the cansole is complicated
